I grew yellow squash and zucchini vertically this year I'm out in the garden every day, and it works great for me I cut all of the growth off on the bottom and let the top bush out It was like a little ugly tree I didn't have to bend over to fight squash bugs I pull the leaf back and attack Comment from : @funkyj1373 |

Bush beans will keep producing, you just have to make sure that you don’t let the beans mature too much before picking, otherwise the plant will stop producing because it figures that it produced seeds, mission accomplished and it’ll stop producing Comment from : @KathySarich |

When I first started gardening 3 years ago, I'd found your channel and fell in love with your tunnels and gardens My yard is sloped and I never thought I'd be able to have much garden area We've saved enough to level the backyard and I'd originally thought terrace gardening, when suddenly, your tunnels popped in my mind and I realized not only can we save on building the extra tiers or walls, but I can get a tunnel or two to get my vegetables to grow vertically! Would you recommend running the garden beds and tunnel facing north-south, or east-west? Or would that not be a factor to consider? Thank you for your open and honest advice and tours of your gardens! Comment from : @pilarharrison2994 |
|

Thank you, Jesse, for your educational video I learned a lotbrbrI experimented last year for the first time with vertical gardening I did so for my cucumbers, cucamelons, and squashbrbrPeople often throw out in the trash bamboo window blinds and whenever I see them I grab them Each bamboo rod from a window blind is about 4 to 5 feet long and can be separated from the other bamboo rods, which make up the entire curtain blind, simply by cutting the strings/cords that attach them all together I used to use said bamboo curtain rods solely for my tomato plants by tieing up the stem of the tomato plant as it grows to the bamboo rod Like a good gardener, and a friendly Canadian, I'd share my extra bamboo rods with my gardening neighbours (I live in Verdun, Quebec, Canada) Well, last year I built a wall of bamboo rods along my garden planters and built my own garden trellis Growing some of my garden plants vertically like my cucumbers, cucamelons, and squash gave me so much more room to use the same space to grow my lettuce, arugula, beats, carrots, onions, herbs, jalapeno etcbrbrThanks again for your video Comment from : @JodyAveline |

We build our trellises with T-Posts and Cattle Panel as well and they have done great The only thing we have changed after a few years is how we secure them In the past we used UV resistant Zip Ties and we now use wire to attach the panels just making sure to turn the cut ends in with needle nose pliers The 8’ panels get 3 posts and the 16’ panels get 5 posts (could probably get away with 4) For a regular upright trellis (non-arching) we use the 7ft T-Posts Comment from : @angelaslatzer9263 |
|
This was a very well done and helpful video I only wish the prices of 4 years ago were still available today! Amazing how much things have gone up and how fewer options we have too Comment from : @BethOvertonCPMmidwife |

It’s been a minute since I’ve commented since we’ve been busy adjusting into a minor fixer upper home You encouraged me years ago to start growing something even if we were in an apartment and tried growing tomatoes We just started a little garden and am using your tactic of using totes to cover things in the winter I’m going through older videos and this is exactly what I needed to watch Thank you so much for all your knowledge and being a blessing to us May the Lord continue to bless y’all in all areas of your lives! Comment from : @angelicas6391 |
