How do you do this on a 2008 escalade The brown with white and the green with white are in the same spots on the port The black is below them in the corner but it is solid black with out a white stripe I hooked it up and it works but not correctly the right side speakers work but at a diminished volume level and the left (driver side) speaker do not work at all Is the wiring different? Ground your aux port to the body of the XM module, when wired as described in this video you will potentially get horrible signal interference ( that’s what happened to me at least) crystal clear sound once I grounded to the module body Comment from : @brandonwilleby1628 |

I just did this install on an 06 Silverado with the stock Bose systemI've checked all my connections twice and still am only getting audio through the driver's side front and rear speakers, nothing on the passenger side XM plays through all 4 speakers but when I plug into the aux jux it goes to just the two driver's side Anyone have this same problem? Also wondering if it could be the 1/8" to usb-c cable that plugs into my phone Comment from : @guitarist1188 |
Nice video Can I do it on my 2000 mercedes benz w203 (radio 10)? can you help me with some indicator? Comment from : @Juljan-nc4cq |
Hi Andreś, thank you so much for this video In the past, I used those FM frequency things to get music from my iPhone or iPod, but since changing vehicles, none would work properly By using your video, I was able to successfully install the 35 mm AUX plug (costing me a whopping $121 CDN!) connected through vehicle audio system using the XFM1 channel Amazon had a great cable for device to vehicle that is Apple certified for $ 18 CAD I even tried the liquid electrical tape you suggested, that’s great stuff too)brbrWorks great and sounds perfect - vehicle has a Bose sound system The only modification I made was to cut the green and brown striped lines leading to the original vehicle XFM plug, attaching my new plug lines to these (so XFM won’t work, unless reconnected) and run a dedicated ground line to vehicle metal Great results! Thank you! DS, Surrey, BC, Canada Comment from : @dstotyn1029 |

Just want to say, I followed this to a degree Instead of putting a port in my tahoe, I ran a shielded cable as a temporary patch until I get my aftermarket radio installed And it works great until I start the motor That's when I start getting a popping signal interference in the sound So this isn't necessarily a perfect fix Since the cable itself is shielded, I am guessing the signal bleed is at the splice Comment from : @Leekle2ManE |
I did the install and it works good I am however getting feedback that corresponds to engine rpm Any suggestions on how to get rid of that? I cut the xm wires and soldered the wires directly Comment from : @gunnarvirgin3862 |

just did this mod, soldered connections having a static sound issue though as soon as the radio is set to xm input you can hear the static (even if phone is not plugged in) it does not really increase as volume knob is increased once music is played, you cannot hear it at all, and the music is quite clear shut the music off or pause, and you can hear the static again all connections are heat shrink individually and connections are not touching Comment from : @mattm840 |
