I just discovered Virtuaconker85's shader tutorials omg and now my favorite shader has improved 100 but I just tried Continuum 21 and OMG FAKE CLOUD SHADOWS ROLLING AROUND how do I get that in Seus Renewed? Hey man, first of all I'd like to say that I really enjoy your channel and have been subscribed for quite a while, so thanks for sharing the awesome videos and helping people tweak SEUS to their liking!brbrI also saw virtuaconker85's video on SEUS v11's clouds, and I just wanted to clear some things up It seems that he has been given the impression that the volumetric clouds included in SEUS v11 are not "truly volumetric" simply because the newer ones use a different sampling technique than the older ones Previously, I rendered volumetric clouds by marching through the cloud data in slices that are parallel to the near and far clip planes In SEUS v11, the sampling is done by marching through data in slices that are layed "flat" in world space This makes sampling more efficient because it's more likely that each slice is going to have better coverage of the cloud data, but imposes limitations like not being able to fly through the clouds Thanks to the community (people like you and virtuaconker85), people can ultimately choose which behavior they preferbrbrSo, the default volumetric clouds in SEUS v11 aren't "supposed volumetric" or "pseudo-volumetric", they bare/b volumetric The way that they're rendered fits every definition of volumetric rendering, they're simply bsampled/b in a different way in SEUS v11brbrAnyway, I just wanted to clear that up!
