The image processing the brain does is amazing Another one I’m sure many of us are familiar with is motion blur Phones and cameras nowadays actually use algorithms to correct for it So why isn’t the world blurry to us? Because the brain just handles that in the background

One thing the video didn't get into is why the distortion exists in photos taken at close range and that is simply because of the curvature of the camera lens, which is why zooms are used for portraits as they give you the tight crop you need while keeping the camera lens away from the subject's face

Wait, so if the brain thing is true? Why doesn't the brain change the faces on the pictures? Because everything we see is coming upside down, just flipped by the brain, but photos don't show up side down because the brain still affects the photos

Thanks for this As soon as I started watching this video, it made sense When I accidently click my phone to front camera, I always think, "Jeez! Yuk!" and think I look terrible but when I see myself on birthday party photos, etc I think I look okay You've just explained why!
