People with a vested interest in the success of bitcoin might not be the best source of de-fudding I think false conclusions are being drawn from the tether settlement My understanding was that tether was fined and now required to report their "backing" If you look at their published report on their website - only 3 of their stable coin is backed by cash Isn't this a good reason for fear isn't it? It also states in some form that no US citizens are supposed to do business with them - I assume as a disclaimer against liability Too much fake de-bunking out there in order to dismiss the arguments against legitimate concerns Tether also temporarily transferred funds to their account to "show" they were backed by cash and immediately transferred money out again Pretty sketch Dan's other argument, dragging Square's stablecoin into the discussion as a defence also isn't apples to apples Does square have any scandal related to printing stablemcoin without an equivalent USD backing?
