Very interesting My current BTC holdings would allow me to finally buy a house cash, but I'm not dumb enough to sell and be stuck at 0 BTC Was planning to sell 40 of it when we are above ATH but you've made me re-think this I am the mindset of never sell, but I need the house as well in the next year or two So, will start researching some of this stuff here in Europe

This was interesting up to the part about the margin call This is not true for a conventional USD collateralized mortgage of course If USD falls by half, which it may, the bank loses This is one of the main values of having a mortgage, being effectively short USD at the expense of the lender, since APY is 3 below inflation brbrOn the flipside, if BTC goes up during the loan, you are increasing your collateral, but not enjoying the benefits of more favorable loan terms

Bitcoin at $288k end of year 2021 did not happen as per Model B graph and the theory behind it, wonder if Matt can give us some perspective of what happened? Based on the great loyalty we pay on BTC to keep it forever, I asked this question before and never got an answer… Would you say plan B model does not contemplate banning Bitcoin by several countries like China, India, Turkey…? Bitcoin continue to be attacked and is good to see how strong this asset class maintains it value but it has stalled, a major disappointment for all of us investing to see BTC futures ending year 2021 at only $46500 :(

Hi Matt My last remaining concern with BTC is the massive mining farms and patented mining equipment It would seem to me that the more mining farms, the better (like in the thousands) I wish everyone could still mine in their bedrooms This way a country cannot shut it off I know China tried, and people think that proved its resilience However, I believe BTC will have to survive one more multi year, multi country government mining ban Governments are about to realize this is no joke and is a real threat to their power A few of the major governments, probably under pressure from the US, will try to stop it, and eliminate a safe harbor for it A few warehouses spread across 4-5 big nations will not be sufficient Do you think I’m right about the mining ban? If so, what are your thoughts on Bitcoin resiliency in the face of a multi country attack? Could you please do a video on this?

Elon musk recently says dogecoin is better than bitcoin because it's not deflationary and people don't want to hodl it and therefore will spend it So he says bitcoin is inferior as a currency Lightning is Lightning but the point is why would anyone spend bitcoin when you believe it will greatly increase in value forever? Bitcoin was originally designed as medium of exchange but is it now purely relegated to store of value?

Hi Mathew, I have thought about this for a long time, but if you do the math, it's more worth it to use the BTC as collateral to just buy more BTC instead of using it on a DP Also saving your monthly morgage payments and renting to buy more BTC I guess at the end of the day the question becomes do you want more BTC or will owning a house make you happy? It would be different for everyone depending on what stage of life they are in Thanks for the great content 😁
