Those were both off of his first album, which is a pretty great pure country album Subsequent albums though have been these genre bending masterpieces that just blow my mind Like, honestly, not since David Bowie have I seen an artist as good at, or as comfortable with, adding new and sometimes strange elements to their music Metamodern Sounds is a psychedelic country album Sailors Guide to Earth borrows a lot from both boogie and the old Motown sound Sound and Fury hard rock (one of the better guitar solos I’ve heard in recent years), funk, techno, dubstep; it’s just a work of art Comment from : Derek Decker |
