you can also use a magnet test, sometimes they plate them in steel so it would stick to a magnet, however silver plated over brass or copper won't stick to a magnet Comment from : 777dingo |

If a Silver Eagle has an AW ( for Adolf Wyman) on the bottom edge of the robe in front of the rear foot it is REAL If the AW is absent on the bottom edge of the robe it is Fake, Period! It is really small so you will need a magnifying glass, and the W is above the A, but it is there The only exception is for the 2023 year Biden in his infinite wisdom had it removed in favor of the missing reed on the edge of the coin, (It Figures) Comment from : MICHAEL DANNA |
If you are new to buying/stacking I would highly recommend you either buy from a reputable dealer or online from a major bullion dealer Comment from : Ian Mc |

Fun thing on using pingcoin is the longer you use it, the less you actually need it that sweet silver sound just sticks into your brain :) And you can test yourself with some aliexpress fakes of course Comment from : Annie Beanie |
it doesn't matter if the advertiser admits the counterfeit, it's thoroughly illegal to counterfeit Ebay facilitates serious fraud and governments should sue them and punish these sellers as harshly as they can Comment from : GráinneMedb |
Endless scammers on eBay I would never buy coins from the site Comment from : Scott Prather |
Great video man The resonance test reminded that people have been counterfeiting silver coins throughout history and using sound to detect them If you look at antique cash registers from back in the 1800’s you’ll notice a piece of marble just above their cash drawers It’s not just decorative The cashier would drop your silver onto the marble before placing your coins in the drawer and if they didn’t sound right they’d give them back to you Without the marble thing they wouldn’t hear the sound until they had mixed your counterfeit coins in with their real money Comment from : johnathon mullis |
I have about 3 walking Liberty half dollars that just will not pass the ping test They're my only coins that seem to struggle with the ping test I love ping app I use that and a scale for now Great video Thanks 👍 Comment from : Brandon Munson |

one more thing to add if silver goes parabolic sell it as it can smash right down from $50/oz to $17/oz again and stay there for the next 10 years That's the power of silver Silver stacking needs a lot of patience our price now is the same in 1978 LOL Comment from : Richie Rich |

Yikes! Scammers are always going to scam At least with ebay you will get your money back Comment from : Don |

With any counterfeit coin if it has a denomination it is a federal offense and China is the biggest importer of these fakes, yet the US does nothing about it? They are flooding us with fakes, along with many other tactics to devalue the country and its dollar Comment from : Anxious Stacker |

Saw a “super rare” 1958-D wheat penny trying to sell for $600 the other day I messaged the seller that it’s as common as they come, and that he should either do some research before he lists or stop trying to scam people (more likely situation but gotta always give the benefit of the doubt) I told him I have well over 100 1958-D wheat pennies too, he never responded 👍 Comment from : Interstate 80 |

SS it's never exactly one troy once It's always sligtly over If it's under by even a little, it's fake for sure, the mints do not allow underweight coins to make it out the door But they are not gonna re-mint the coin because it is 001 over I am not sure what their gray zone is but you can always expect a real coin to be sligjhly over 1 oz Comment from : Silverholic |
Should the sellers of these fake coins not be reported to the Secret services? They are selling fake american money, and it's against the law The secret services are in charge of upholding this law Comment from : Silverholic |

Since ASEs are legal tender, replicating them is illegal If someone tried selling “reproduction” $20 bills on EBay… with no indication that they are reproductions… I imagine that would be shut down immediately Comment from : mjanovec |

I only buy from a few choice, reputable dealers If I pay an extra buck or two - I consider that insurance People who's greed let them buy from untrustworthy sources never ceases to amaze mebrEven on eBay, there are reputable dealers like Liberty, or the major bullion dealers eBay stores eBay should do a better job of policing their sellers, but they only care about more profit Comment from : Ready-Adhesiveness40 |

Question Is selling fake sovereign bullion in effect counterfeiting since those coins are considered legal tender? Comment from : Eric Burns |
😢The unfortunate numismatic people with there collections of MS-63 graded Silver Dollars If the fakers start duplicating them with 90 Silver, very few, if any, of the experts will be able to tell the difference The whole Numismatic part of the business will collapse It might even be worth it to fake Liberty Ounces with 999 Silver when the premiums are so high If a fake Liberty is made with 999 Silver, your two tests will no longer work Comment from : David Dennstedt |
How is that not counterfeiting it is a sovereign coin that they are making up to me that is counterfeiting Comment from : Mark Green |
