bought the 2021 g14 a week ago and was concerned it was steady 95C on any demanding game but within literally 15 seconds of hitting “apply” it went down to 73C on cpu 🙏🏼🙏🏼 and i was gonna pay to get it re thermal pasted and checked out butcha saved me

In my 2021 Zephyrus g14 average temps used to be over 65degrees when plugged in I was only coding and using browsers It was very frustrating I expected this laptop to be cooler because it has a more robust cooling system designed for gaming uses and I was doing not very CPU intensive workbrThis fixed worked very well for me it instantly dropped temps below 50 and I'm very happy with it

I was thinking of returning my laptop (purchased very cheap as a Best Buy Open Box) but your tips totally dropped tempsbrbrI now use my laptop in silent mode whenever I'm on battery, and on turbo mode whenever I'm gaming and plugged in Your suggested changes to the windows power settings might have a slight impact on performance but the temps are 10 degrees celcius lower and the fans don't spin as loud either Totally worth it

Yes! Disable the performance, problem solved Next time just unplug it, shut it off, take the battery out of it, fill the battery location and all other spare spaces in the case with spray in foam and apoxy it shut so it cannot be opened again without destroying it It'll never get warm again Congratulations Definitely don't just spend $5 on a piece of perforated metal, or $20 on a cooling stand You can cool any PC by limiting its performance aka the amount of power its going to use If you want a cooler laptop, do as I previously suggested, increase fan speed and hysteresis, or just buy something less powerful
