Thankful we have no gophers that I know of, eastern Suffolk County, have over an acre of property, i have it organically eco friendly spayed regularly during the year the trees, bushes, lawn for ticks, mosquitos, poison ivy, etc - never seen or had problems with gophers, wasps, bees Comment from : @justinherbert9146 |

Gophers, like moles have very long tunnels I've run hundreds of gallons of water down a gopher hole to no avail I did flush some out when flood irrigating I don't know about ground squirrels like the one you caught, but I guarantee 2 gallons of water wont flush a pocket gopher out of it's tunnel Comment from : @brentmoody3461 |

Some people don't know this, but if you see a gopher mound, that dirt is the most nutrient untapped dirt you'll find, which makes it perfect for gardens or potted plants A single gopher can shovel two tons of soil to the surface in a year, giving new nutrient dense matieral to plants The pocket gopher also has the most endurance of any other gopher in the United states, and they are naturally excellent swimmers (hence how it shot up the water jug) Comment from : @icarusthesquirrel601 |

That's a great idea and much easier and more sure-fire way as long as you can find its most recent hole a dog helps all I have is a good hunting cat and he can spot them a mile away and even though they have big teeth he still goes after thembrOur local great blue heron bird is a great gopher catcher he stands so still and has a great leverage advantage and Scoops them right up and down the hatch it goesYAY Comment from : @maryjomorra2865 |
