Well, this is me putting all my " too nice" stuff for some special day from the last 2 years , and yet doesn't get the chance to use them its not like i dont get the chance , its just i forgot about them There was a shirt in my closet, i always wanted to wear on some special day as it is too good to wear on regular day , now its been a 2 year , i recently find that shirt , now i dont find it that attractive as i used to , it loses its shine and yeah out of fashion toobrSo, from now on iam not gonna hold my things for some " special day " which I am not sure about when it will come

A version of this happened to me lately too, I saw a short on Youtube and the person said "You don't need a special occasion to dress nice" Ever since, I've been wearing my nicer clothes more consistently I started wearing my bandanas again, because I love wearing them (even though they aren't the most fashion forward thing) I even started to wear my Moschino silk scarf that I've been saving and safely storing in my closet; I'm not someone who can afford designer, I got that one for super cheap and it makes me feel just a bit special when I wear it <3brbrI want to live unapologetically as myself, and my nicer clothing and all the things I already have are a reflection of that To use them is being me, and with this talk I'm even more motivated to live my life more fully with what I already have I also feel like this just motivates me to enjoy life more and experience things

My mother in law doesn't allow anyone in the house to touch any of the snacks which she has saved for the guests And we throw it away after expiry date I hate this habit of hers and she never listens brI bought her this expensive dress in the beginning of marriage She loved it But to this date she has never worn it There are lots of new never used beautiful bedsheets in her closet There are never even opened dinner set boxes in our home I feel so bad seeing all this But i can't say anything

My grandparents’ and less parents’ generation has had this habit to pile new things up and never use it I find it really weird: why not use a nice thing right away? My generation, 90s-born, as I see, tend to not save things for the future, but to get pleasure using them immediately 🎉

My (abusive, physically and emotionally) mother was a hoarder She had an even more abusive mother and not much as a kid And her mother would take her things and money brGrowing up in that environment made me a minimalist I don’t even like paintings and pictures on the walls I don’t do knick knacks I find having less somehow makes the things I have even more important They don’t get lost in the clutter and blend into the background I love my things and I use my things I only have clothes I wear and blike/b to wear
