the biggest mistakes you made in this video to make it a true comparison is you should be using a water cooler for the cpu, 32 gb of ram not 16 and most importantly you need to get a pcie nvme m2 ssd adapter and you would see a huge increase in performance and that is without overclocking the cpu and overclocking the ram id recommend 2400-2666mhz ram but it does go as high as 3200 mhrz but just overclocking the cpu and ram while still having a sata 3 ssd will give you a 10-18 uplift and replacing the sata 3 ssd with a nvme ssd hooked up to a pcie x4,x8,orx16 slot any slower than 4x and you are throwing away performance if you followed all these steps you should see a 20-30 increase in performance besides that if you want to squeeze out another 5-10 speed use the asus sabertooth 990fx gen 3 R20 motherboard it is the only motherboard with pcie gen 3 support that will speed up the bit rate of your gpu aswell as your pcie nvme ssd and the only other way to squeez another 5-20 performance after all that would be to upgrade to the AMD FX 8370, 9370, or the best the 9590 you might be able to overclock the ram past 2400mhz to possibly 3200mhrz and that would posibly make this pc on par with a amd ryzen 2700 if it was using a sata 3 ssd Comment from : Dylan Roemer

I have an FX8320 which is on an MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard I can't overclock past 42GHz because the CPU gets too hot That could be a combination of the bad thermal paste that I bought as well as an insufficient aftermarket cooler I've heard that the 970 Motherboard isn't good for overclocking plus I might have gotten a chip that isn't good for extreme overclocking Is it possible to obtain 45GHz on any FX8320 if you have a good Motherboard and air cooler? honestly, doing a stock vs oc wasn't really necessary considering that if you bought an 8350 back in the day, it was expected to be overclocked (most of the bulldozers were) however it was nice to see it included (maybe save your self some headache in the future?) iirc, a good chip could hit 52, while an average chip hit 48 my 8350 was a trooper, bought 3 back in the day, but only got reimbursed for 1 from the lawsuit :/ Comment from : MrTinyLlama
