Saint Patrick's Day is March 17th! Being truly Irish, we celebrate with family dinner of cornbeef and cabbage, mashed potatoes, Sheppard pie, Irish desserts The day before Saints Patricks day, all of the children line up their shoes and leave a few pennies in them, when they wake up the morning of Saint Patrick's Day, the pennies have been removed and candy treats and small toy items left by "fairies and leprechauns", I can remember my Grandmother doing this every year and it was much fun for the kiddies I carried on the tradition with my 6 children (who are now all grown), who will one day do so with their children brThank you for sharing your beautiful your talent with so many I'm 50 yrs old and have been crocheting and knitting since I was a wee one, I absolutely love it!
