I love both the Mosin Nagant variants along with the Carcano and the Gewehr 98 Martini Henry just feels inaccurate to me With Mosin Infantry I can easily counter snipe those pesky hill campers without the glint giving me away

I'm more of a SMLE III Infantry It's excellent in general, makes me feel more immersed in game, those iron sights are super precise yet comfortable, and makes me move morebrit's definitely the only reason I go marksman Super satisfactory; and I'd dare to say it's the best weapon in game in a hardcore/realistic server

I usually run the Ross infantry, Martini Henry infantry, or more recently the Russian 1895 infantry for closer ranges, but when I want to do some counter sniping or be a dirty little camper, the Gewehr 98 sniper has served me well so far

As a SMLE sniper i switch places with the Gewher just because the firerate is better making more easier the quickscope shots giving the chance to take your pistol and finish the job Take the SMLE and the m1911 and get easy kills playing aggresive

The vertili as a sniper is bad but as a infantry rifle used in cqc is a painful weapon to fight other snipers 1 shots are off to a distance but the vertilis is not forceing you to play like an 19th century grenadier

I can't get used to Carcano A bolt action rifle which can't kill in one shot even with a headshot is pure trash for me I had a couple of kills with it just to get a medal, but it was a painful experience

As of the Weapons Crate Update, scope glint is universal across all scopes that come with Marksman and Sniper Variants As such it doesn't matter which scope you use The Martini Henry Sniper variant is your best closer range warrior with the Martini Infantry being second best until you unlock the sniper variant, but your alternative is the Arisaka Patrol Carbine (Scoped) since the sweetspots are similar Mid range I'm still experimenting, but am between the Lebel, Mosin, Gewehr 95 and Ross Mk III The Russian 1895 is a POS now with the accuracy widely varying depending on range and if you hold your breath or not Long Range without a doubt goes to the Gewehr 98 Sniper

My primary sniper is the Gewehr M95 Marksman I find I try a different rifle and after limited success I switch back and things start to improve for me
