Fun fact: if you just and swing while holding block it will allow you to hop with most heroes like boss, and grievous who is known for his butterfly technique But if you master it well enough you can jump and swing so quick it cancels the attack animation and still does damage

Plus, Chain Lightning, one of Palpy's moves, can be activated in the air as well Which is incredible, since you don't usually wanna be on the ground often as the Emperor in my experience

Another tip about jumping in BF2: Be extremely cautious while jumping, I see tons of players that think its cool jumping away or into a battle Blaster heros will shoot you down or Saber heros will use force abilities to bring you down But you can also take advantage of their mistake with saber heros by jumping towards them and striking them They can't hit back and villains like The Emperor like to jump a lot, but be careful cause you'll receive some damage in the process

The Force abilities in midair aren't used "shortly after jumping," they can be used as long as you're traveling upward and become queued attacks if you hit the button while you're falling
