small correction there, before removing the bios chip ALWAYS remove the bios battery (CR2032) as its powering the chip and you might run into bios corruptions, and furthermoreit can blow up in your face when using a heat gun around it

Thank you for the tutorial ! The flashing process worked flawlessly The one thing that i had to do was to edit the CAP file (ASUS) and take out the CMOS battery for a minute I did not had to use the clamp, i just removed the chip directly

in windows command prompt run "fc /b file1bin file2bin" and the output will give the file differences fc is the file compare utility in windows! you can redirect the output to a text file if you want to study it later with " > differencetxt " too

I watched and and like your video regarding flashing the BIOS chipbrbrI has the Dell Precision T5500 The BIOS doesn't support PCIE NVMee SSD BootbrbrThe Dell OptiPlex 7010 has the same old features that doesn't support the PCIE NVMe boot also, but they modified the BIOS drivers to make it bookable brbrCan you modified the Dell Precision T5500 BIOS to boot off the PCIE NVMe SSD? 2 years later I am watching this because my Gigabyte board with dual bios is in a no boot state after a bios flash and the back up bios is not reflashing the main to a known good state

this eeprom programmer bricked 2 of my asus g751 boards and one is destroyed dead PCH the other suffers from a bad IIT8585VG the chip heats up to 60c it controls the gpu/cpu fans and only one will runb at a time, i would not recommend this programmer to my worse enemy

Adamant IT: An excellent app for comparing files is Beyond Compare (BC), I've used BC version 4 to compare hex data in files generated by a different brand of programmer The app is versatile as it also compares handles text files etc I think it is a try before you buy app, certainly one of my best buys - I marvel at its power

The bin file is encrypted i use special tools to decrypt and be able to read versions at the start of each region like pci chipset txe me region pmc csme etc U can find here usefull info on bios repair Dr-bios com

i think i just fucked my bios (asrock X570 mini-ITX boad) by using a beta software for changing the RGB lighting from windows it looked like it was flashing the changes into bios when all went to take a shit and now i get no boot only could test PSU and GPU with another board to rule out, but i'm pretty sure if RAMs or CPU were fucked, i wouldn't be getting the system to spin up while not showing anything and just keep on & spinning without crucial components (cpu, gpu, ram) the board would just shut down/cycle some seconds later so i have ordered this flasher kit and hopefully on monday, it's pincer-flash time :)brstrange the board doesn't even have dual bios or if it has some kind of backup bios it recovers from, it's the old version that doesn't support my ryzen 5950x
