Thanks for the tutorial I was kinda hoping to see the end part as well, what to do with extra resin, although it sounds like you just let it cure and either toss the cup or pull the resin piece out and chuck it I was hoping to not have that much resin left in my cups and just be able to clean the resin out and just dump the rest somehow, but it looks like that's not recommended for plumbingbrbrAnyway, I'm hoping not to create a huge mess for myself when I try resin for the first time, so thank you for posting this I know this was filmed 10 years ago, but in case you still second-guess yourself a lotmight be good to just mentally note you'll edit that part out and move on It helps you to learn to be more confident and decisive in your vids, which also makes them shorter and more to-the-point I used to second-guess myself like this a lot, but that's gone down now that I don't allow myself to change my mind more than once or call myself out for a bad call I just keep pushing forward It's good to remember that in a how-to vid, the don'ts are just as valuable as the dos Maybe more so!

Yes I tried what you said to do in your video You don't use a heat gun or blow dryer you need to specify not to get it hot because an exotherm could happen and really screw somebody up I think you should correct that and tell them just to use a straw in your breath like you said as well Because like I said someone could get hurt and I just wasted about $30 because of your lack of knowledge

It's good you did this but you got so many things wrong Place the resin bottles in a how water bath for 10 mins beforehand Pour part B in to A slowly and down the side of the mixing cup Use a plastic mixer (not wood as it contains air) mix slowly You go way to fast in this video and keep the mixing stick to the bottom of the cup ALL the time, don't lift it off whilst stirring The only time you ife it out is to pull pigment in and that is done very slowly This way you minimise any introduction of air I've been mixing resin for years and never have any air bubbles in the mix or the cast Air bubbles ruin casts completely and you need to avoid them being introduced in to the resin mix

I made some keychains the first ones they came out hard but the seconds ones they are flexable and when i screwed the little hook the next day that piece broke what am i doing wrong i already left the keychains 2 days and they still dont turn hard

What if the resin is mot mixed completely? I mean I have never mixed that much Does it not get hard? Or does it just take longer to harden? I use it for woodworking joints Nothing thick like coffee tables or the like
