We captured GTA 5 in 4K resolution, which explains the frame rate The graphics are set to maximum, except for MSAA We used 2x MSAA For shadows we used PCSS We also activated the advanced graphics options for long distance shadows and more In vanilla GTA 5 (vanilla means without any mods), the frame rate stays around 35 fps, sometimes even above 40 There are rare drops as in the forest scene – especially shadows cost a lot of performance there While MVGA manages to get slightly over 30 fps at most of the time, Redux kills the performance by 10 to 15 fps – but remember this is 4K gameplay The forest scene is the performance heaviest scene here, Redux goes as low as 16 fps With lower resolutions such as 1440p the frame rate grows significantly Comment from : Candyland |
