Maybe there's another video, but it looked like you had the queen on the wrong side of the box Assuming that's a jenter queen rearing system The other side should have the queen excluder piece covering a plastic honey comb section for her to lay in The back side should have all the open holes that I see in the video It should have the solid plastic cover on that side to keep the bees outbrbrI'll check your other videos to see if you worked it out ;)

Best of luck with your new adventure Mark, I think I will just give grafting a go once the swarm season is close to being over With some of my bees sitting beside a canola crop I am flat out trying to keep them at home and removing swarm cells every week

On the mites I am so sorry that you will have to deal with those B?S?A?D’s They give us pure hell here in the USA Doing the mite checks is not a question of doing them it is a have to DO them PLEASE STAY IN TOP OF THEM and you will get thru it ok How many hives did you have come out of winter with this season ??
