Can I still put my rental property in a land trust if I’m a state national? I started a small business to add said property to and my home but my home is co owned between my husband and I I have not added properties to small business because I need to be certain I’m doing what’s best for me Also I’m not certain about taxes because of my state national status To make things even mor complicated my mortgage lender is my parents brIf I was to buy a post office would I have to use my name or can I seem invisible to that too? I have a question about the rental property in the LLC A few years ago my town started requiring landlords to have a yearly inspection (done by the town) and after the inspection to pay a fee for a business license It use to be that rentals were not required to have a business license however, this puts a link to the owner back to the property How do you get around that? In response to my earlier post I(we) literally own NOTHING, not any of our houses (we are investors), our personal house, not even our cars or boats EVERYTHING is in a trust Some of them (investment houses) are in their own trust (each) and the beneficiary of those trusts are our 'big' trust Not even our bank accounts, they are in a Family Living Trust This way no-one can see what we own, opps, I mean control And if wife and I get squashed by a big cement truck, it will all go to our daughter without any probate Lot's of other 'structuring', but there is no way to even touch upon it all in a simple blog like this The biggest thing I can say is get EDUCATED and start EARLY Comment from : cajunman |
