I remember that day so clearly, as all of us do I was getting ready for university and watching TV - it was Regis and Kelly They were talking about it, and they interupted the program shortly to show it, and I remember how after the first tower was hit there were rumours it was an attack and I thought god, how foolish are they, it's an accident It's a horrible, horrible accident A plane lost control, the pilots couldn't land, and this sad accident has happened How innocent I was at the time because as soon as the other tower hit we knew You can see it in the reactions of everyone - until the second tower was hit we didn't know When we saw people jumping/falling everything changed I still sometimes can't believe this is real Imagine how united we all were in the aftermath And imagine how quickly we've forgotten that unity Not even 25 years later and we forgot it all

I live in Toronto Canada and i was on mat leave and had a childrens programme playing on tv that wasnt interrupted My husband called me saying there was a terrorist attack in NY I turned on the news and told him no way, it was simply a horrible accident Didn't finish the sentence when the 2nd plane hit RIP to all lost that day and the loved ones who suffered such losses

Unreal footage! I was 9 years old visiting twins towers with my father as French tourists I still have a cherished picture of myself on the rooftop, it shows how innocent and fearless time was! New York in my eyes was the greatest city! A year later, after the school, in paris, I went home expecting a good nutella chocolate spread on baguette waiting, instead of this, my mother sitting on couch in shock, watching TV, the burning towers, every channel ( only 6 at that time) was documenting about them And seeing them collapsing was simply crazy and terrified! The next day, in every class of my school discussed about it skipping the course of the morning brRIP to all I met while visiting wtc:(((

i wasnt alive to witness this genocide but im so grateful that people are still mentioning this and teaching other people born after 9/11 about it My father, who had recently just married my mother, had been helping down there as soon as the second building was hit He told me of horrific things he saw and just how dehumanizing it was Even in school, my teachers, young or older, told me their experience as they had a perfect view of manhattan Like I said I wasnt alive to witness this but even looking at videos or photos gives me insane goosebumps My heart and prayers goes out to the ones who passed, the ones who survived, the heros, everyones families involved, the witnesses, and everyone around the world effected by this You would think something as traumatic and as big as this massacre would be fiction or maybe something that happened hundreds of years ago, but this was only 22 years ago no matter if you can still accept reality or not, remember that everyone around the world experienced this and that nobody was alone

I remember being in my primary school morning assembly, we had just finished singing "all things bright and beautiful" when suddenly our principal fast walked into the assembly hall and told us that we were going home, we, being mostly 5-10 year olds were happy because, yay, no school but i think all of us realised that when we saw our parents faces and our teachers faces that something bad had happened We usually got called out of school via our names and that didn't happen that day I had just gotten through the door of my house when i saw it all unfold on the tv and my mum was on the phone to my other much older sister when the 2nd tower fell I remember her crying out: "oh my god, they're jumping" "oh my god the towers gone down!"

The teenagers filming at the beginning of the video were both shocked and bemused, the girls came out and giggled a bit to the camera, a very human reaction and I feel for them because they had no idea what was about to unfold, they must have been terrified What they saw was bad enough looking at the impact of the first plane and that they witnessed such horrific scenes thereafter, well my heart goes out to them My compassion goes out to anyone involved who has been affected by this To the familes and friends of those who passed on xx
