Hello I set my traps yesterday When I checked them this morning there was also a fresh mound built on top of the trap and the trap hadn't been set off at all :( What did I do wrong? There was a snow fall, but not sure if that would change anything

Question: how many mounds will one mole make? I mean, if I have 5 mounds all in one area, how many traps need to be set there? Is that the work of one mole, or multiple ? Thanks!

This is the correct way to set this type of trap I have three traps and catch 13-15 per year just to keep damage down Never total elimination though Find a main run and it will produce almost all the time every year

I followed your instructions as best as I could but three days later and after setting it up on two different locations still no success Question 1: you say cover the hole so no sunlight enters However, when you do the slit for the trigger to pop up, aren't you allowing light to enter? Question 2: What is the purpose of the bridge under the trigger mechanism? Is the mole supposed to go over the trigger to set it off, or dig under it? Looking at the design of the jaws it seems he needs to crawl under it, thus pushing the soil up and setting off the trigger Thanks in advance for your input

Up here in NW Oregon this Victor "Out Of Sight" mole trap is probably the most common A lot of areas are silts with virtually no rocks and these work well but you MUST set them like this which is a pain in the ass You can rub dirt well over hands prior to setting trap instead of using gloves

In southern soil rocks will almost certainly ruin the effectiveness of the trap I prefer harpoon traps for above ground and traplines for discrete lethality

looks like a good trap but i wouldnt buy it,with having levers to carry around is all the stuff to lose and more weightputting buckets over traps would attract attention from theives and dogooders
