With the new version you can use it with the Bluetooth app, so you can brighten it up to 100 and use it with or without a Hue Bridge

It is good but would be much better without the need for a cord, obviously I get it with the battery thing only lasting so long but when you want to place these around your home you're going to have to have loads of plug sockets around your home and wires etc lol

Another great Jeff Benjamin production! One small note- the face is convex, not concave It's too bad that the light bhas/b to be physically powered on, and not with the app
