Stop blaming the banks here - legislation cannot fix a lack of financial education The real problem here, that they don't want to talk about is that our Public School System doesn't teach financial literacy THAT is the problem Rewards cards are not the problem Lack of education is the problem

I collect hundreds of thousands of points per year and pay my bill in full each month I will always benefit off of the credit rewards I just want to thank all the people that don't pay their bill in full every month so I can continue to reap the rewards

Hey people, this conversation is a waste of time Commercial banks don't have the currency to lend you you when you swipe your card, you create it with your signature This is a way the banks expand the "money" supply as outlined in the Chicago Federal Reserve's publication Modern Money Mechanics Contract law governs these transactions Under contract law both parties must put up equal "consideration" The bank doesn't put up anything of value since they don't use other people's money to cover your charges - you create it with your signature There are several other events that must exist for contracts to be valid but I won't get into them here except this: Because the banks don't tell you what I just described they violate the "Full Disclosure" aspect of contract law So, the banks commit contractual fraud which invalidates the debt Don't believe this? Do the research Banking is mostly a grand fraud Wake up!

If I could go back to my younger self and give him advice I would tell him to save money every month in an emergency savings account, have an affordable car, put money into a Roth account every month, invest in stocks whenever I have extra money, and only use up to 5 max of my credit limit It took me 10 years to get to a good credit score, have emergency savings built up, and have investments, but I wish I had started when I was younger

The banks will always make money off of people's poor decisions If some of that goes to those who use credit cards responsibly instead of going towards the bank's profits, I'm all for it

I like my benefits (cash back and air miles), but I pay off in full every month If I didn’t get benefits, I wouldn’t use credit cards, just keep one with a recurring bill on it (and pay it off) to maintain my credit historybrbrNo benefits and I’d just use my debit card

Usury interest aside, swipe fees are commonly something like 25 If you are not at least getting that much back in rewards, you are getting grifted 1 "cash back" is definitely a grift

I pay all my bills on a credit card, never pay interest and collect about $600 a year Use your card responsible and let it work for you
