My whole ps4 was factory reset from this buggy ass update :( And it has an error about game licenses or something When i restore them, it says something about needing the ps4 as primary except it was already primary so im not sure

Thank all for sharing ways to fix it On my end nothing worked at first so I opened the top Cleaned up the dust and the bd lens with Qtip dipped in alcoholbrbrUpdate still failedbrbrAfter reading a post here I tried the safe mode update (Didn't dind't try after cleaning) this work PS4 lives again! FU sony!

please can u help, 5 days ago my ps4 pro, overheated and turned off ( couple days ago i pulled it down and cleaned heatsink & fan etc, i was praying this would fix the update file it said it needed, but no it did not) it still saying to Connect a USB storage device for 1050 etcbrmy ps only goes into safe save mode i swaped hard drives and this did not help please can u help thank you

PS4 pro around 6 or 7 years old but i cleaned it regularly when i was still using it but now i left the console platform and moved to PC permanently after getting this bullshit 1050 update fuck Sony for doing this right after i bought elden ring

If all fails go buy a hard drive for your ps4 to have more space my 500g hard drive couldn’t let me update so I got a 1TB drive and it works help

Hey guys just a heads up this was happening to me and I fixed it by re plugging in the disk drive (Previously just unplugged it because it was faulty and wouldn't stop beeping) I know it's a unique circumstance but hope it helps!]

Not sure if y’all know this but you gotta have a specific data cable that came with your PS4 in order to use your controller! I was able to find mine and my controller worked Just thought this might help some of y’all 😊

No matter what I try, everything gets blocked by the same error code su-42118-6 My disc drive was working fine before the (attempted) patch Not sure why PS4 becomes completely unusable because the disc drive is supposedly "broken"

I solved this problem, if you have a damaged Blu-ray drive you won't install the new update 1050 I fixed the Blu-ray drive and finally I was able to install the update

when i try to update the software using internet it updates it to 100 and the ps4 just turns off and back to the same screen when i tried to reset to default it says an error has occurred and when i try to rebuild data the ps4 once again just turns off Surely they r gonna fix it soon cuz nothing works

I've tried everything, downloaded the update onto a USB, tried safe mode options, tried the update during rest mode, it's still not working I swear I'll go to Xbox if this is a push for the ps5 Seems abit Sus that none of the options work
