I am not sure if you are talking in a good way or in a bad way about IKEA kitchen I landed here because I am thinking of buying an IKEA kitchen It seems normal to me Many negative things you are talking about, boil down to experience I don't know what you had before this, but hey wide-angle hinges, everybody knows that they are the standard in the last few years; white sink? white sink not good? how strange, you mean to say "never again plastic sink" perhaps Ceramic sinks are white, they have been around for nearly 100 years and you can through anything in it, including phosphoric acid and they are great So, with all the tricks for planning a kitchen, are IKEA kitchens OK? value for the money? Comment from : Max |

Why don't Americans have integrated appliances? They make the space look much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing Comment from : Chris Edwards |
We have one of those stainless steel sinks from the 90's that also extends into a stainless steel countertop Not the prettiest or trendiest, I suppose, but super practical and still going strong after all these years! I hear they've gotten quite expensive so whenever we end up remodeling our kitchen, we might just keep the one we've got Comment from : felucca |

Wood looking laminate floors with strong warranties provides comfort, insulation, low maintenance, resilience and beauty I’m a retired kitchen designer and my laminate floors have lasted 20 yrs Comment from : freshenuf1 |

I put in a white ikea sink and never had a problem, loved it Comment from : Kate Hobbs |
I renovated my kitchen with IKEA products I have a similar white sink It's porcelain It does not really stain I can clean it without bleach Normal dishwashing detergent is more than enough I do have one regret though: my wooden worktop It needs to be sanded and oiled every year, which I never do I was not aware of this maintenance requirement when I ordered the countertops Now I use plastic covers over the worktops and always dry them vigorously during and after work I hate trying to protect them from water all the time Comment from : heavenlymilano |
After having a white sink for way too many years, we installed a black sink during our remodel and it has been so wonderful! We will never have a white sink again Comment from : Beautybytracilei |

We've had our IKEA kitchen for 5-6 years now and I don't regret choosing IKEA for a secondbrIn fact, I got the best advice and tips at IKEA (which I ignored but later turned out to be good) and of course the best pricebrMy next kitchen will definitely be from IKEA too I don't see the point of paying 100 more The quality is more than sufficient so far Comment from : adunare |
I feel like a white sink is a no-brainer no-no That and surfaces like porcelain or ceramic for sinks are the worst choices They're fragile, they require too much maintenance, AND they bring nothing but constant worry about their condition Who's got time for that? Stainless steel all the way Comment from : The Raw Egg Files |
Heated floor will try to heat up the rest of the house as well brI recommend cozy indoor slippers Comment from : Mademoiselle du Sfonctionelle |
A friend in Maine and lived thembut was $$$ Comment from : Gail Remp |
White sinks are the worst For our house we bought a quartz undermount sink from Elkay, the Greystone to match the rest of our quartz Recommendation from our remodeler, he was always right 5 years later and it still looked brand new I cook 3x a day 300 days a year It's pricey but worth it It never stained and just a light scrubbing to remove stuck on food (& paint when I repainted the kitchen and washed out brushes) We moved and I bought another one in the Jubilee color Comment from : RoseBeckerFit |
Just a heads up on the Ikea stainless steel sink, they are flimsy like other 16 gauge ones out there If you are going to install any stainless steel sink get the 14 gauge ones but too bad Ikea does not have 14 gauge sinks Comment from : Maggie Jetson |
Can't have regrets when you are cheap, it goes hand in handfor what you pay Comment from : Henry VP |
I recommend a Siligranit sink They do not scratch and do not stain You can use a drop or two of oil to make it look like new While the sink can still stain (if light colored), the stains are easily removed I prefer the darker colors And unlike stainless steel, they do not scratch Comment from : Cheryl Daniel |
"White sink never again" 200 agree Comment from : Turi Sfvp |

Nice kitchen! We installed our IKEA kitchen cabinets 5 years ago and continue to LOVE them, all cabinets have held up well and look as new as the day we installed them We lived in our house for 15 years before replacing the kitchen so we know what fits and what doesn't We went with IKEA cabinets for their customizable and efficient use of space At the time, none of the custom cabinets that were more expensive could hold what IKEA cabinets could Yes, I agree that the microwave trim bits are not customizable, they only fit the IKEA microwave Other than that IKEA cabinets have been working well for us and hopefully for a long time Comment from : Dan Hoang |
Totally off the topic questionwhich plant is that on bench top ? Comment from : Jaspreet Singh |

I have the same white cabinets and they get dirty "all by themselves" - meaning without even touching them At the store they told me it's because of a slight residue left over from the blue packing film that you peel off I have thoroughly cleaned my cabinets with Myers soap several times over, but they always seem to collect this mysterious grey dirtbrbrMy favorite part is the drawer lights They were extremely inexpensive, and they give the cabinets a high-end feelbrbr I also don't like how sometimes the outer drawer bumps on the top inner door when closing thembrbr I also have a white KRAUS sink Mine is a crushed marble and has a texture, yours seems to be smooth I'm surprised that you have a problem with stains I agree that the grate on the bottom helps I was surprised that they were only $16 so I bought 3 of them in case they rusted over time I have an offset drain, so I thought they will be harder to findbrbrLarge, single basin sinks are obviously the trend now so for resale purposes I intalled one, but I can't stand it I like to wash my dishes by filling one side of the sink with extremely hot soapy water and letting everything soak This can't be done with a single basin sink and not only does it take longer to do the dishes, I think I'm wasting a lot of water I've been looking around for a plastic basin that's almost exactly the size of half my sink but so far I haven't found one It sure would be nice if our friends from Kraus would make things like this just to fit their sinks It could be easily stored underneath the sink It would make quite a fine place to hold your bottle of dishwashing fluid! Comment from : Brad the Pitts |

We still have a desk from to early 90's 😂🤣 Comment from : District 12 |
I have a cleaning business and two of my clients have IKEA kitchens I’ve been with him for years, so I was with them when they got a brand new IKEA kitchen I can tell you for certain that after even two years they do not hold up in the cabinets and doors are already breaking Also, there’s a IKEA kitchen and my daughters studio apartment across from UNLV in Vegas and they look like crap But it also comes down to how it is taken care of by the owner Comment from : Trucking with TOBEE |
6:18 wow, I didn't know those things existed I'm gonna order one for my average, non Ikea and non white sink lol Comment from : Shafer Hart |
Loved the drawer ideas for the plates and the utensils It just makes so much sense! I just bought a 1987 house and the tiny (8x11) kitchen is all original so looking for ideas to redo and maximize space without having to do a bump out or something along those lines I've been thinking about an IKEA kitchen but wasn't sure about the quality It's hit or miss with the durability of their products and if it's a difference of a couple hundred bucks, I would pay more for the quality Great review and suggestions! Comment from : Xana Du |
Nice camera work! Thoughtful, helpful info here Comment from : Sandra Junkin |
thanks mate Comment from : dale drake |

Have you thought about selling your trim kit? You mentioned they aren’t cheap I’m sure someone will buy it and you will recoup some of your money Comment from : Christine Baldock |
Get clear jars for your sugar Comment from : JWI Heath |
When I did my ikea kitchen the packages included these little clear rubber dots/dome stickers to go over the screw heads So that when you have interior drawers it protects them from that damage brbrYou can also pick these up from any hardware store they are also for the inside of the cupboard doors to protect and keep them quieter when closing Comment from : Kate P |
IKEA bookshelves do the same as your cupboard backs The use of books on and off wears the particle board off the fasterners and suddenly the back drops and chunks are missing in the backing But the bookshelves are great! Comment from : Joy Webster |
If you use only drawers on the lowers you don't have to worry about the backs, because you'll never see or touch them This to me is the brilliance of the IKEA kitchen - 4 drawer lowers 2 "thin" uppers, and two "deep" lowers Especially incredible if you can do multiple 36" bases! Comment from : Justin Wortmann |
I'm in Australia, I do ALL our cooking for medical reasons I'm thinking of upgrading our 15 yr old kitchen to be more ME friendly Thanks for explaining about a white sink- I didn't know it could stain so easily- maybe it's different here? I'm learning from you, as I don't know if I'll do IKEA, or a private company thanks so much Comment from : marietta gartner |
I appreciate the insight We are considering ikea for our remodel Comment from : ecowli2125 |
are the countertops on the kitchen island from ikea? I can't find on the website! thanks Comment from : America Arias |
"Heated floors" is a niche type of thing - you need to be MINDFUL of the country you are in I would not build heated floors in the country i live in, because it gets SO hot, and building this system is just a waste of money We spend more on air circulation than heating Comment from : wesingtogether |
A little thicker bumpers, well, I will go to Home Depot, thanks for the tipbrI think the reason the base cabinets have soft backing is most often cuts here and there are expected for the pluming, makes it easy, especially down the road if one needs to cut Comment from : Omar |

I'm planning a rebuild for my kitchen (reframing the exterior wall and floor due to water damage) and I bought a hammered copper undermount sink instead of stainless With the blue pearl countertop and rubbed bronze fixtures, it will make a striking contrast Comment from : 5610winston |
