Anytime I see the empire stare building it reminds me of home I grow up in a small town in Indiana that produced the stone used for the exterior It was cut and shaped just 3 miles from my house Always enjoyed the link between my small indiana town and new york city

bI moved as far away as I could get from NYC in 1983, as NYC was a 3rd world war zone from the early 1960s through the early 1990s, and it just wasn't worth it: the many benefits didn't even com /bbiclose/i/bb to balancing out the never ending supply of pure crap the city had to dish out/bbrbrbIn watching this, I noticed that the city has started to strongly resemble California: strike #2!/b

Something about the speed gives us a different view of New York, and we could use one I used to live in New York State, but far from NYC, and mostly all we noticed about the City was the problems, full of poverty and infested with rats, people killing each other, guns are outlawed and lots of outlaws have guns and use them for evil, don't take a short cut through the Park, great need for expensive government services but they hate business and drive out the people who would provide employment (still doing it, recently with Amazon, you cannot promote employment and hate employers), and they can't handle their own affairs so they expect the rest of the state or the nation to pay for their troubles, and the anti-American UN is right there in the middle with its diplomats that don't have to behave themselves because they are above the law We like to say if we could buy a big enough chain saw we would cut around the city and push it out to sea like Mary Hamilton in the old song, that it might sink or it might swim but it would never come back to us This video zips around the city with people walking past tall buildings and across huge bridges that a few generations ago nobody knew how to build, but we learned how to do that, so we could get together and work with each other and accomplish great things We have lost our focus on greatness and accomplishment so that we waste our energy on fighting among ourselves, and try to have a good life by stealing from others instead of growing it from the seed Maybe if there is some way for the people who still live in NYC to see themselves like this video, they can generate a renewal of hope; millions of people each doing their own thing, that might turn into hope we could believe in
