Every country has microeconomic problems and being the largest country, India has the largest problems alongside highest potential for oppotunities It is true that India has a problem with the percentage of women in the workforce, but these societal challeneges will resolve themselves as more women get educated or skilled and as families become increasingly nuclearized and aspirational Such spciety changes are already underway and will only gather pace in the years ahead At another level - even as our overall educational standards need a lot of reform and millions of kids have no access to good schooling, there are millions being educated out of abject poverty ! Unlike in the West, ask any Indian girl what she wants to be and she will would want to be a scientist or engineer or doctor brbr These "experts" are completely off the mark They are asking wrong questions and coming out with wrong answers but get away with by pretending to be scholars which is what most welfare economists do
