Without having much time to watch properly, the previous studies may not have included the transmission risk whilst passengers are wearing masks Previous Sars outbreaks also assume that passengers weren't paying as much attention to their personal safety at the timebrbrI'm not agreeing that people should be travelling as reducing contact with others is definetly the key to slowing down and preventing transmission Just a couple thoughts to add on

My parents are both airline employees Further areas for study not being considered: impact of housing crews together/ employee vans/ etc brAlso serious issues with Customs placing HUGE crowds of folks from all over the world in incredibly close contact in rooms with limited air circulation for multi hour periods while waiting to enter the country This needs to be addressed ASAP

Dear HCT: what does the research say about asymptomatic transmission, as well as the current false negative rates of covid tests? I feel like I've heard mixed messages regarding asymptomatic spread I worry this undermines faith in the vaccine due to mainstream media drawing attention to the possibility that the vaccine only stops illness rather than infection Meanwhile, in BC, you're told to stay at home if you feel sick regardless if you test negative for covid, but some people don't see why this is necessary I've heard the false negative rate is quite high in the event someone has the virus, which I think is a big reason behind this advice

I would appreciate it if you would, in a future video, review the data for temperature checks I’m a primary care doctor in a state men’s prison Our patients who test positive or are on quarantine for various reasons have vital signs, including temperature, and symptoms checked by licensed nurses at least twice a day Of our first five patients to die of COVID-19 pneumonia only one had fever before having respiratory decompensation and transfer to hospital None of those four reported fever-like symptoms That makes me question whether doing temperature checks on asymptotic people entering public areas will be fruitful

The biggest risk is when a plane has to sit on the ground full of people, without working ventilation (when they have to shut down engines for a delay, and the APU isn't working) This was already uncomfortable even before this pandemic

Risk is probably low given air filters but if you’re close to an infected person, or a crew member is sick, odds increase Curb to curb hasn’t been addressed You can get sneezed on in an airport by any one person
