Awesome video! I was considering getting one because it was on sale I'm a huge coffee lover, and I want to move into drip coffee (i have gotten bored with french press) A Keurig was on sale and I would 99 of the time use freshly ground coffee instead of the pods, except my logic is; if a company spends all its time and resources to get consumers to buy their refills, how much does that company spend on actually making the machine? be it a coffee maker or printer? Id be wasting my money and ruining great coffee beans on a Keurig

No, I can't say I remember a time when I bought something only to be stuck buying that company's expendables I drink coffee the old fashioned way; with a regular coffee maker that uses regular filters and coffee from a can that you scoop out with any universal measuring spoon Printing? On the rare occasion that I need to print something, I visit my local library and pay $0¹⁰ per page

I had a keurig 20 and found a video that destroyed the purpose of detecting whether or not if it’s a legit pod or not so we could just shove in any brand of coffee pod and it would accept it All it was was that we cut a wire and re routed it to bypass the sensor and basically jailbreaked the entire machine we don’t have it anymore since we have a new espresso/ Keurig machine last year

We have a Keurig brewer but never use the disposable pods I grind my own coffee and use reusable pods If you are creative you can get around their ecosystem Its just much better for us as we dont need a full pot of coffee generally Its like 5-6 cents per cup vs 35 cents a cup The pods are convenient for having company over, but thats it

I have a nespresso vertuo machine which I do love but I don't buy the pods I reuse the stainless pods with high quality coffee which I grind myself Just as good as the ones you buy and get ripped off buying Way too expensive to keep buying the pods I guess they have to find a way to pay for the celebrities that promote the machine

The Keurig reusable MY K-CUP pod is the only sensible idea Buy and grind you own beans I bought mine about 10 years ago and it works fine in my brand new Keurig too I found the cheaper reusable pods leave a bit of a warm plastic taste Not the original Keurig

I don’t feel bad about this I have a seemingly endless supply of Keurig Pods at home that were bought for me years ago, and also many I received as a donation from a family friend whose machine had broken down Sure it is polluting the environment, but this is just a small part of the garbage I throw out every week I don’t use my Keurig Brewer often, but the last few days I have been sick, so I have temporarily put it into service for the next few days

What about refillable liquid ink printers? A printer itself is expensive, but unless it breaks, the ink price is ok, and you just fill the colours depending on what you need I don't see the catch, and because of these tactics I'm looking for one

You are correct about Keurig but why did you not address Nespresso? Their coffee takes much better than any other "consumer-based" machine on the market! I noticed this when I was a teenager and living on my own for the first time with razorblades Later on I realized it with blood sugar test machines and their strips Now I check the prices of the accessories of all my machines before buying My machine is a little bit more expensive, but it's worth the money saving in the long run

We have a newer Keurig and we use a reusable pod that we can fill with our own coffee My husband is the only coffee drinker so it helps to keep his coffee fresh by brewing one cup at a time I can also just stick entire teabags in there (no k cup needed) and make tea brbrIt’s not that deep

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer wwwyoutubecom/post/UgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years It worked beautifully until the day it didn't It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here There is a huge difference in the taste Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee This new one is a little different from my old one I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one Only three cup sizes instead of four The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied

Keurig convinced me to switch to French press coffee I hated all the plastic waste It takes longer, but the coffee has more flavor! I haven't figured a workaround for that "bubble jet" printer though

I use generic coffee pods and to me the coffee is fine It's dirt cheap per cup and nothing to clean up I pay 33 cents per cup and can't taste the difference between it and brewed through grounds in a filter The coffee maker was $1495 at Walmart and it's fill-as-you-need for one cup at a time No problems here whatsoever
