Modern games are much better at using multiple cores, i think that has helped it a lot to stay relevant with its 8 cores

I bought the PC set up with fx 8320 on board with MOB Asus M5A97R20 16Gb RAM and Hd7950 with CHIEFTECH PSU and case just for 25€ I checked it in mining Monero It makes 2100-2200 H/s comparing with i5 8400 which makes 3000-3100 H/s or mobile i7 3740QM 1600 H/s it is very decent!

overclock the cpu to 44ghz and install some 2133 ddr3 and it runs way better

Even though, ps4 and Xbox one have the a similar cpu structure and they are much weaker than fx8320 It’s unreasonable that games designed for these devices cannot run on fx8320

It really suffers on any modern online shooter like the new halo, cod, or battlefield, but god damn does it hold up well for everything I’ve gone 7 years with my FX8320 and DDR3 ram and 5 years with my RX580 and it still runs most games I throw at it Hell I even get 60fps on Forza Horizon 5

That's actually not that bad I still use an 8320 I only have a GTX 980 GPU though I did order a GTX 1070 a couple days ago I don't know if I need a new CPU or not Have to wait and see when the "new to me" 1070 arrives

Got a 8300 which is the same just lower stock speed running at 39ghz it holds pretty ok but in cpu intesive games i can see it starts to lag
