I am listening to this Now in 2021 Wow ! Just hearing those prices How far we have come Comment from : Michael Rodriguez |

When AG explodes fractions will be in high demand You will be at the mercy of money changers if you don't have exact amounts This is the case for generic fractionals Constitutional does not offer exact amounts The 1/3 will be your stack eater (46) Comment from : Jibby Jabba-Het-Mehet |
I'll take the premium hit for purity, but I promise not to ever make fractionals the focus of my silver stack haha Comment from : Cyrus the Acceptable |
If only we could still get generics for $076 over spot! Comment from : Jr0y_08 |
Which ever you can buy for the least premium That would usually be Constitutional Silver Comment from : Ken Kaufman |
That's one of my mistakes buying fractional silver ,really jacked my cost avg But I let my desire to have as many different size/wieghts as they make get the better of me That being said I still want a 15 oz piece Comment from : Lee |
Also, the Silver weight of a Silver Dollar is 07734, not 07150 Comment from : NumismaticMaster |

I like how you actually used math to proved you points Well put I personally do buy fractional government coins, but that's because my local dealer gives me good deals on them, and it's just nice seeing how small they are For a 1/10 oz Libertard, as of when this was posted, he'll sell them to me for 1/10 of what he sells a full Libertad for, which is $17 right now So for a 1/10 oz Libertad, I would pay $170 And half of that for a 1/20 oz Libertad The 1/20 oz ones are so cool! Excellent video walking us through the logic I just recently setup a similar spreadsheet I think every stacker should use excel to enforce better buying decisions Comment from : L G |

SBC, thanks for the mathification of this subject I had suspected as much myself, but had not done the math Buying as close to spot with as much liquidity as possible AND having SHTF barter ability is the trifecta of precious metals in my opinion! Comment from : Sir FishSlayer |
Supposedly gov't will seek to recall constitutional, like Roosevelt did with gold Oh well Comment from : Memory Rinehart |
Lol! Silver now $14 an ounce You took a big hit as I’m just starting to buy! Comment from : auxmike |

Semi - Interesting story from a beginning Canadian stacker: Back when silver spot was around 12 bucks and our dollars were at par I bought 20oz of 1/10 walking liberties for at most 5 over spot I guess I just got lucky, it was my first silver purchasebrWith that in mind, to clarify your very good explanation here; would you (or anyone) be able to suggest an upper maximum premium to pay for fractional?brIf we agree that these small denominations appear to be a ripoff usually, would that mean that buying a quanitity of fractional (if given the opportunity) at lets say 10 over spot be considered a good deal? Comment from : Orpheus Epiphanes |

Interesting Comment from : Thank You So Very Much |

If you have any interest in bartering, silver dimes and quarters are a must to have There is some misinformation out there about the silver content of American 90 coins A silver dime is basically 1/14 oz of silver, not 1/10 A quarter is closer to 1/6 oz, not 1/4 A half is closer to 1/3 oz, not 1/2 It seems we tend to equate a dollar face value to an ounce of silver, but this is not actually the case Just like a Morgan or Peace dollar is just over 3/4 oz Good video subbed Comment from : Mike L |
Great info and I love junk silver! Junk silver has better appeal, cheaper cost and security(not faked) Comment from : Jonny Stacks |
Great explanation Actually wanted a stack of the generic 1/10 but now after watching this video I think I want to get a stack or two of the Mercury dimes as well Thanks for the video Comment from : KoaBosk |
Yes, there is a premium for fractional rounds but they're new and pure silver, while junk silver is usually worn out and 90 silver in it But it's hard to tell how it will play out in a crisis as to which is preferred Comment from : celeriacmarcus |
@Silver Bean Counter There's a small amount more silver in Constitutional dollars (07735 oz/$1) than in a dollar's worth of Constitutional halves, quarters & dimes (07234 oz/$1), or 69 more Wrote this before seeing the correction in the description, but there's 07234 oz silver in a $1's worth of halves, quarters, & dimes Comment from : Silver Buckeye |

As small as you can possibly make it 1/10 ounces of silver, constitutional dimes, my favorite is silver shot In the worst case situation You are going to need something to barter for a loaf of bread or some milk and sugar that will cost $5 or $10 bucks The only things that are worth that are the smaller metal examples grams, dimes, or shot ext That's the way I feel the smaller the better cause butter, milk, sugar or cheese is about $300 ea You don't want to trade that for a $10 ounce bar You won't get silver back you'll get cash, who wants cash? Happy Stacking !! Comment from : MUDSWAT |
