Flickering happens with all OLED screen due to the dimming technology called PWM which is problematic for some people This is not an issue with LCD displays br@

Battery life difference is game changer My new phone with amoled has the same battery capacity with the old one and last 2 to 3 times more Also it charges 6 times faster So convenience imo is amoled and not worrying

I have galaxy s5 and there is no burn in issue here The colors are really vivid and the blacks are deep The display is very easy and comfortable on the eyes especially when i am high af I believe Amoled display are the best especially with Always on display

I thought both LED/LCD technologies used polarization and liquid crystal layers and the only difference was the backlight source "LED" is obviously backlit be LEDs and LCDs are backlit by florescent lights I didn't think that LED screens were actually made of individual RGB colored LEDs as you explained - am I wrong?
