I just want to point out that the reason why this dialogue is so awkward and bad is because they literally couldn't have Geralt accept the offer That would mean they'd have to render and plan for TWO separate battles of Kaer Morhen One with Nilfgaard army and one without That would take too much time Imo this dioluge should have been cut It makes no sense logically

Geralts negotiation skills are truly awful here lol, he just gives up immediately and walks off, obviously the developers didnt have the cash for a big set piece level involving and army, so they just made geralt a terrible negotiator to disguise it

One of the few dialogues that made zero sense Sending an experienced general to command his own army is entirely reasonable, expecting an army of Nilfgaardian soldiers who likely can't even understand the common northern language to follow the command of a few Witchers who know nothing about how to utilize such an army effectively is entirely unreasonable The smart thing would have been to accept the emperors terms and let the general use the army as he sees fit while Geralt commands his small group of friends to work around the army

I actually agree with Geralt here You can't trust the Nilfgaard troops to have a separate command from the rest of Geralt's company The battle is going to provide all kinds of opportunities for the soldiers to either directly kill Geralt and friends or to allow them to sit back and let the fight to play out in such a way that they can capture Ciri afterward uncontested brbrEven if Geralt and Voorhis get along well, the general will not hesitate to stab Geralt in the back if Emyr orders it
