This is smart Wish I knew about it before hitting it with the micro fiber towels that cause the swirls Comment from : Seven |
You can go to those lengths to avoid using a towel, but in my view, you can get swirls from blasting the car prior to the foam, and you can also get swirls from day to day driving whenever there’s dirt and dust on the paint surface In my view, what protects paint from swirls is a good quality wax finish, so the dirt isn’t actually on the paints surface Comment from : Phil Walker |

I have the CR Spotless system for my black Porsche 911, this method of letting it just air dry does not work! You will get spots, not water mineral deposit spots BUT nonetheless your car will be full of spotsbrbrAny dust in the air will settle in the beads of CR Spotless water and when it evaporates the dust will leave spotsbrbrIf you don’t want to dry it with a drying towel to prevent swirls you’ll need a blower dryer That’s what I use Get one powerful enough to get the water across the roof to the other side, an underpowered one is a bad move brbrAlso, leaf blowers have hard tips, yes nobody plans on accidentally touching the car with the tip of the blower but trust me it happens Mine has soft tips so it doesn’t damage the car, but I also have it fully wrapped with an Stek clear wrapbrbrJust don’t want anyone sucked in to the video about CR Spotless, I fell for it in this video years ago and sure enough it was spotted Comment from : Capital Exotics |
I wash my two Teslas myself I have a real good power washer and use good suds I do not skimp on any of my supplies But the most important thing is that I bit the bullet and got an expensive air blower specifically designed for a car It gets all the water off without leaving streaks or spots The car comes out perfect If you want to do it right, do it by yourself and do it correctly Comment from : Shepard Smith |

It is not possible to was a car without touching it You are thoroughly rinsing it, that's it I use Bilt Hamber Touchless and a citrus prewash and even after those heavy hitters there is debris still on the car Fact Doesn't matter if you have a fancy coating Doesn't matter if the car is blessed by the pope If you don't touch it, you'll never get 100 of contaminates from the paint Even chemical decon washes leave debris behind If you are worried about scratches get a polisher and practice with it A Bi-annual one-step polish is often more than enough to maintain a "new" look My four year old GLI is proof of that It has been polished twice since 2019 and I still get asked by coworkers who have seen it for years if I got another new car? Nope, same one, just gets polished occasionally Pre-washing is good, yes, but so is a contact wash Just be wise about it Additionally, it should be noted that multiple high profile detailing pages on YouTube have proven that a water rinse at the start only serves to dilute your prewash solution and harm its performance You should start with a prewash solution and let that dwell on a previously dry surface so it makes direct contact with the contaminants Comment from : James Pilarczyk |

Pretty good, your almost there with the method Touch less won't get rid of all the dirt unfortunately, it'll still need a hand wash from time to time Also washing the car down before snow foaming in more likely to cause marks and heavy dirt particles shoot across the surfacefoam it first and let it break down and lift the dirt off the surface And your better off with say a leaf blower, it's got a much larger area of effect Comment from : Leigh Clark |

Just using snow foam to clean your car simply doesn't work I know, I've tried brbrYou can use it to get rid of the loose grime but caked on grime, like salt stains simply don't budge with snow foam alone You need to use a sponge/mitt/brush to get that offbrbrAt best, snow foam is a pre-wash, nothing more Comment from : Considered thoughts |
