My van has an oversized 12v 155ah battery, and my alternator is 160amps With the engine running i am able to run 110v 13amp appliances continuous through a 2000 watt inverter I am wondering if there is a way with the engine running that I can safely weld using 12 to 24 vs step up converter rated at 480amps? I want to weld 375 rebar using

If you can afford it get you a 50 Watts or a 100 Watts solar panel@12 Volts and charge each one of those batteries individually

Easy Easy Easy fix!!! Grab another transformer and wrap it the same amount as the other one you did Parallel or series, should both work for thicker welding!!
