dialectics suggests that people, or couples, could be in all of these stages at the same time, no? Or, at least, we could be moving through the stages constantly, going from 1 through 3 of the attachment stages, each person being in a different stage in some aspect of their life (eg maybe stage 1 financially but stage 3 emotionally?), putting the relationship in any one of the 5 stages at any given time and in all stages all the time

Is it normal to fluctuate? Or does fluctuation mean that you haven't really moved to a stage? For example, I'm certain that I've been selfishly independent during most of my marriage, but the same time, I feel like we've switched roles since my STBX said she wanted a divorce, and now I'm dependent and she's selfishly independent Or perhaps we've just been both in Embittered #1 the whole time, but the reasons we've been there have flip-flopped

Guys just had a meeting with my ex ( been separated for 2 months Went pretty well acknowledged all the things i did wrong showed her all the mind shifts i‘ve been working on and she looked pleasantly surprised Try to arrange a second meeting but we are kinda ling distance so might take a while but when i proposed this she seemed interested Also and i quote: „ happy for you, you are doing all this changes but it hasn’t been long time not sure you can change that much“ I take this as a positive normal for her to resist so i can prove my changes are real Opinions ?

I've been watching a ton of your videos and think I understand the overall idea But the part I can't wrap my head around is that if I want to get her back I have to let her go and work on myselfbrbrHow can I just let go of the woman I love? Hey Geoffrey!!!brSpot on like always brThe main reason that lead to the currently separation 6months Was exactly my selfish attitude towards my wife I became very self centered always in my bubble Wrongfully certain y She became more distant until one day the bomb droppedbrAs I already wrote a, few times I'm working on myself and changing a lot But until now things are the same I truly believe in your principles and concepts And I will always be improving myself It's hard to be in this separation I will never repeat those errors Thanks Geoffrey

My partner and I split at Embittered #1 (me selfish) and we are at Embittered #2 in our path to reconciliation I think this is a more hopeful position as there isnt a perception of victimhood on both sides
