I love the first hint is basically “spent irl money on this f2p game, otherwise you get a 70 tax on your research points when researching outside your tier” Like, it’s a fair hint, i hate that gajin does the tax when researching lower tier vehicles, but like, the entire point of that tax is to challenge the player to get better, and to make sure they’re good enough for the tier they’re going intobrbrPS with good enough for the tier i mean… barely scrapping by, like maybe 1 assist/tank destruction at most

I started playing War Thunder around 6 years ago, and I played it as blindly as humanly possible, without any knowledge of the stuff you're talking about whatsoever And I was grinding towards everything too fast As you can imagine, My eventual results were exactly those of which you're speaking to So one day I just found myself mixing up squadrons of one two and three rated vehicles, thinking it was a baller move to mix it up and diversify brbrI immediately quit and haven't played in 3 years I quickly resigned myself to the magnitude of my self-inflicted dumbness and started playing Rimworld instead brbrRimworld

the whole penalty thing is just gone after you spade a vehicle premium vehicles are bought already spaded thats why there is no (penalty) because it doesn't have to research its own parts and the premium bonus is just the special badge thing you can buy with ge for every vehicle

I bough a premium when i was Lvl 14, i was rank IV, i bought a rank VI, i felt good, and it was fun, i didnt get frustrated, when the 50 discount i bought the Ka-50 and T-72, and it was more difficult, but still it wasnt that bad

Just played a match at 40, a KV-1 teammate just blatantly watched me get pelted to death by a Pz IV H, didn’t help at all, this is why I am very disappointed in the game mainly because when you need teammates they don’t help, but when you don’t they go steal kills or just not help at all

Im playing at rank 3 on ground mode, and no one plays the objective, no one cares about winning, so helping your allies is a bit pointless It's so bad I remember I lost a game when we had lost only 3 players and the other team had 6 players left because everyone refused to go cap the point I tried alone a couple of times but it was just me against 3 tanks and I died No one cared so I simply stopped feeding my currency for nothing as well At the end of the day, if you try to help your ally and no one even attempts to play the objective, you will lose anyway and you risk losing money if you die

I went "heh heh that's what I'm doing" when he said you can use the F-5C to research all of the American tech tree I noticed I wouldn't be able to get the F-14 when I got there if I didn't research the strike aircraft section, as I've only gone for the fighters I just prefer to get in and try to get kills over ground pounding It's been a massive help Starting from rank 1 I got halfway through rank 4 within a few weeks of casual playingbrEdit: I laughed when he said at least let yourself enjoy the game before you turn it into a chore because it's so true I was by no means a new player when I bought the F-5C I was already at rank 5 jets, so figured a 1 rank upgrade wouldn't be so bad It was so bad lol Spent a lot of time as missile bait, and occasionally still do, tho I've gotten better as I get used to the higher rank gameplay It can be incredibly frustrating, so if you're new, listen to Tankenstein and start off low It's better to learn the fundamentals before you go into master class territory

I've learned the hard way in GRB to stick with my team I would always go alone finding an enemy to kill But they would always find me first and kill me first I would insta die there or get to fight back and do a bit of damage but still die Every since I've been more of a team player I'll get a bunch of kills and assist

I actually do some of this on a gamely(?) basis, the biggest threat for lower tiers( 1-3 I think) would be a premium plane (I forgot it’s name but I’ll try to describe it )brbrSo first is color: WhitebrBullet rate: pretty much instant killbrBullets : around 3000brSpeed: GoodbrSkill needed to survive it: quite a lot, it took them 3-6 minutes (I think) to actually kill me so you need to move unpredictably brIt is a BiplanebrbrCan you figure what plane it his is tho

Another good one is if you are faster than a team mate, GO AROUND If I'm in a big slow metal box the last thing I want to do is stop and redirect it around some idiot that drives INTO my lane without giving enough clearance
