Everyone! I am currently a medical coder and this job will slowly phased out I worked in one of the biggest hospital in NOVA and we used computers now to code the single visits such as lab, pathology and radiology Even series and infusion What I do now is just to review the codes Same goes with inpatient and ED We mostly do reviews now for all the accts that failed medical necessity or accts that failed from the computer coding That’s why we no longer hire new coder or replaced the coder who retired Comment from : Leh Cawl |

Hey I’m wanting a career change and I can’t decide between a IT specialist or medical billing & coding I’m an introvert and suffer with anxiety and prone to get depressed easily being around people to long I do adapt to my environment and can socialize it’s just exhausting Anyways I am pretty good with tech/computers and may want to be a software engineer after I get experience with either one Not totally sure though I also plan to have a food trailer business on the weekends So this new career I’m looking for will be Monday through Friday Which job would you recommend? I am about to start my classes for coding & billing Im nervous because i know absolutely nothing about it I decided on this because I hope eventually to get a remote job My labor went terrible & they told me to wait mynturn in line for a c section that 4 girls was ahead of me My daughter was stuck in the birth canal near 5hrs, when we both was in distress all day anyways She was born blue, they did CPR twice & she was in a vent 5 days, in the hospital for 3 weeks She's severely brain damaged, she's 23 but like a 5 month old baby So im hoping to get this certificate and a remote job to be home with her I started nursing school to become her homecare nurse but our nurse if 10yrs quit & I couldn't be in school 5 days a week for 1yr Comment from : Deana Cantrell |
