It's very strange after overlooking like you did could not install windows So , in the end just made safe defoult settings and it's working fine we have nearly the same specification But it was working fine two weeks ,still can't understand, what was the matter And it was starting like usually installation and after 100 procent just aborted Comment from : Aries Tor |

is it ok to use touch bios to overclock and do I need to change the voltage from auto to a set voltage if OCing to 40ghz? Comment from : radiacto |
I got 4ghz stable with the Noctua NH-D14 idles @ aroun d 36-40C had prime running for 3 hours and max temp was 72C , Oh yeah in your description it says your NOT AND EXPERT xD Comment from : JSUTSGJ |
@channel316 I have this system running at stock now most of the time I use profiles in the BIOS to OC during the times when I plan to do RAW file editing or video encoding I just enter the BIOS and activate the profile I have forgotten what the settings are I did some other videos that show most of the settings if you need them Good luck to you As I recallI didn't do much with the voltage to make this OC though Watch the rest of the vids Comment from : nate42nd |
@nate42nd ok sorry must have seen it in another video Comment from : ozpc123 |
@ozpc123 I am using a Cooler Master TX-3 right now and during this video It does a great job for such an inexpensive cooler The direct touch heat pipes make it work great! Zalman makes good coolers but I have never used them Comment from : nate42nd |
Hi, Do you have the zalman cnps9900? is it quite a silent cooler when its at high revs?
Comment from : ozpc123 |
do i have to read sth on the boards for the overclockfunktion?, with an GA-P55 USB3 and an Scythe Katana 3 cooler , how much power can i get? Comment from : Jens P |
nice, but my board does not suport OC ;(
Comment from : NoY Flores |
@djkub1 The BSODs are best analyzed to see what's going on sevenforums will help you out as well as a few other sites I started getting them recently I had to re-installgood luck man Comment from : nate42nd |

@Vorox144 Have a look at the sticker that's on the memory Comment from : koevoetja |
@lilleballe4 I have the latest BIOSI'm not with the system now, but I think it's F9 Comment from : nate42nd |
Well thats some crap in the middle of winter Frankly Id rather build my own but it was cheaper not to Comment from : thereddog223 |
@thereddog223 HP machines have BIOS chips that prevent you from overclocking If it's an HP you will not be able to overclock as far as I know here are "extreme" measures you can take, but I cannot recommend that route Comment from : nate42nd |
Can I overlock an hp 860? Comment from : thereddog223 |
@SavaMarkovicPilot Sure, the general principles apply Not the exact settings Good luck Comment from : nate42nd |
@cosmoclast Ah, Peterokay that works Glad you like the vid! haha Comment from : nate42nd |
@nate42nd haha you sound abit like peter! haha but i think it's just me! love your vid btw! helped me set up my overclock very well even though i was using an evga motherboard Comment from : cosmoclast |
@cosmoclast Hopefully not Stewey! I want be the neighbor with big muscles lol Comment from : nate42nd |
@nate42nd thanks for the reply actually i believe it is another prob last week i cleaned my pc from dust etc and removed the fans and i didnt notice the thermal paste between cpu and heatsink so i have to open it again to put some paste prob it's this the prob cz everything works ok temps are now about 50 (i pressed the cooler harder in the mb) but with prime test within 2 mins it goes 80 and keeps rising Comment from : Georgios Prassas |
@nate42nd it was a total different prob last week i cleaned the pc and deassembled it and the cpu fan didnt have thermal paste :s after some pushing to fit better it dropped significant :) Comment from : Georgios Prassas |
i have a Gigabyte P55-UD4, i7 860 and tried it with success the problem is that when i reverted back to normal it has a much higher temperature in idle than before and if loaded it goes at 90 in no time!!! Comment from : Georgios Prassas |
@Mupp1t Run it at whatever makes your RAM run at 1600Mhz It depends on what you have you base clock set to Comment from : nate42nd |
@Mupp1t That will make your RAM run very slow Look at the speed it's at You can safely run at least it's rated speed Comment from : nate42nd |
@sysmemful If it works and doesn't heat upuse it Watch your other components though Comment from : nate42nd |
I would leave them at default You may have a different PSU or some other hardware Leave them unless you really want to try it Good luck Comment from : nate42nd |
Thanks for the good words I wish you the best If you have used good paste and applied it correctly, you should be good to go Good luck and enjoy! Comment from : nate42nd |
NO, i am running a Cooler Master TX-3 cooler It's a cheap one but it does a good job Comment from : nate42nd |
Thanks man, glad it worked for you! Comment from : nate42nd |
Hey great video I followed your guide and it works perfectly OC'd my Core i5 to a mild 34Ghz, it's been rock stable and cool for over 2 months now 24/7awesome job Comment from : mickee6969 |
CoolerMaster TX-3 Comment from : nate42nd |
What cooling are you using? Comment from : DMaN4245 |
Actually they DO! Patriot makes one and so does PhotoFast among others They look GREAT They are not cheap but they are selling them Comment from : nate42nd |
i wish they would make esata flash drives:D Comment from : gumbyistella |
Very nice I wish I had waited for the "A: series The new SATA isn't worth much because you can't find drives fast enough to handle it, but the USB3 may be nice in the future Comment from : nate42nd |
