I hate removing glow plugs Last one I did on a 4jj1 isuzu, two snapped off and forced a head removal just to get the ends out

Garage / workshop I use had one of these boat anchor engines They didn't bother with it A low mileage Ford 18 Endura turbo diesel with gearbox adapter which they had machined to fit was fitted in its place

Swap out the crank is the easiest optionMust be ok if it survived a runaway

I have a 2007 discovery 3 tdv6 When the first right piston was on top centre the left camshaft pully don't lock in place I have to force back to lock it When i do that the valve knock on piston Because the valve is open off course The left valve is slight off also The camshaft looking good but Do you think the camshaft is twisted This is possible

Shame about engine I'd be getting my money back You could bore that and fit a liner, I've done loads back to standard size But I think you need to strip that other engine, choose best block and rebuild one out of two 👌
