I’d be a lot more worried buying a used GPU nowadays just to save a little money… Places like eBay and Amazon are littered with sellers who buy GPUs from bitcoin mining farms and resell them as “refurbished” it’s better to save up and buy new Nowadays cards like the RTX3060 or the 3070 will play modern games with good fps and are reasonably priced

I was wrong the ex mining FXF RX 580 card are junk Mine falled after 6 months The Aliexpress Mingzhou store only has a three month warinty on any exmining cards they sell when you buy them they will not even tell you they have sold you a exmining card On examination I found a lot the gold post look burnt so cleaned them up with metho reinatalled it and it went fine for about a day untill I restarted my computer the fan was going but the computer would not post next day on exeming it I found one of the small mini 10amp fuse had blown on the card found an other one on a dis use card I had solered an other one in put the card back in the computer it started up right away It went for an other day again black screen so I did an other test off the 12 v rail found one of the Ic chips had falled went on to googel found wiring diragram for the chip to find the short in the IC chip counting frioe the dot on the chip it was in the boot in the chip we cant order thede only a stor can went in to JCAR they ored the chip for me it be here with in a month so now wating I know from repering these befor if one IC chip falls you soon get an other on shortly all you can do is keep,replacing them do you know of a company on aliexspress called Soyo For $9000 I bought an other card aparinty they make all sorts of computer parts there been in business sinces the 80s They have a two year warenty on there graphic cards It they fall you send the card back to them they will repair it and send it back to yougoing

In my countries local online shop there are lots of Gpu mining sales And Yes for half the price even a third of the price Im looking on buying one

I never thought performance would suffer, only longevity I still think a mining card has a better chance of failure sooner than later compared to a non mining card
