William , i have started doing this with my Doberman, as sometimes he becomes reactive to bicyclist on our walks Doing this method has really helped, me with my boy Thank you so much for the tip

Dude u need to help me like seriously idk what to do anymore My dogs keeps going to the bathroom inside I am exhausted of watching videos and looking things up and every single dog training video says the exact same thing and he still goes in doors and the thing is HE KNOWS NOT TO When I’m home in the same room he never uses the bathroom inside and always waits to go outside, but the moment I’m no longer in the same room even for 2 minutes he immediately uses the bathroom inside Only when he’s not being watched What do I It almost feels like he’s fucking with me man I’m at my wits end with and I’ve been genuinely considering him up The fact he only destroys my stuff and uses the bathroom in doors ONLY WHEN IM NOT IN THE SAME ROOM tells me this asshole knows damn well it’s something he’s not supposed to do If he didn’t, why does he only chose to do it in my absence and never when I’m home

I do this with my dog all the time and if something is going on that makes him nervous, like bicycles going by, he rests his cheek against my thigh He's partially blind, so this physical contact helps him know I'm there for him

I'd love to do this with my dog, but unfortunately he is bconstantly/b on the lookout for other dogs, who if we happen to meet, he pulls toward and barks his head off I haven't managed to figure out if this is out if excitement, aggression or fear/anxiety He is a rescue who we couldn't find out the history of as well brbrFor now, walks make us both anxious at this point

I do something slightly different, I specifically tell my dog to stop, so that when we get to crossings etc she stops when told, and doesn't walk on until told Also very effective

It's just like if your kid is stressed and scared If you become calm and firm in the situation and you let them know/ feel that you got this, you got their backs and they don't need to worry, they are going to calm down and look to you to feel safe Dogs need reassuring that they can trust you

I've got to say I am an owner of a pitbull in the uk and as i am in the uk i have to adhere to certain restrictions and laws to own this specific breed she is head strong but your videos have definitely helped me control her natural instincts and let her know I am in charge but she still hates cats ahaha !!
