I found several old new USA made Nicholsons at my local co op The packages are green My old ones were 30ish years old and get file carded after every use I could not believe how much better the new ones worked! For stubborn chips imbedded crush down a piece of copper tubing and use that to clean the teeth by pushing the bits out along the gap, perpendicular to a filing motion I want to experiment with acid to try and sharpen my old ones Not sure it will be worth the effort, though Comment from : upside downdog |

I have several Nicholson USA files bought years ago; a couple of them close to 50 years old Clean the file after every usage and with any luck they'll last a lifetimebrbrOnly the Olberg?
