Peal and stick vinyl tile flooring squares Easy to clean and keeps wood floor from getting wet Comment from : Blue Dragon Mining |
It is finally there!! Awesome news, HM! Cant wait to follow all your build videos! Comment from : Ponder |
I would say rhino line the floor Like they do truck beds you can buy it at Homedepot or the car parts store Comment from : ChumpChangeXD Mining & Crypto |
Oh snap, i should have watched that video before writing my previous comment :$brVery nice shed <3brLooking forward to the next videos <3 Comment from : Cédric CRISPIN |
After installing the intake vents we take standard screen material and magnets to cover the intakes from the outside One extra piece of the screen and you can do regular vent maintenance without turning anything off This also reduces debris if you are running filters Comment from : Pioneer Smoke Houses Channel |
i would recommend routing power closer to floor cause the temps at the top of the shed with that much power sounds like a no no also drawing air from the shade side of the shed wouldnt be bad and providing constant shade would be ideal iv been thinking about this move myself but if its 90f outside the shed can only get as cold as 90f see the problem Comment from : jtmcrash |
@Thehobbyistminer awesome to see another dope project taking flight dude, I look forward to the inspiring, fun & educational updates Comment from : Adam |
I would make sure you have a hot/cold isle setup with as much sealed between the 2 isles as possible With that small of a space, your hot air will be forced back through to the cold side if you are not careful With the 4 exhaust fans you will probably be ok, but I would try to seal as much as possible between the 2 isles Comment from : aceatcisco |
Id be interested on seeing you power this whole shed with solar panels! Efficiency at it's finest! Great video btw congrats on the mining shed! Be sure to give it a name! Comment from : Corbin Mead |
It won't negate the sounds of the exhaust fans but some sort of sound deadening material on the walls Will help keep the rig noise down and hopefully prevent any neighbors complaints about hearing equipment running brAnother idea would be a small subpannel instead of the separate runs of power That way if you need to switch of an outlet for maintenance or emergency you don't have to run back into the house to flip a breaker Comment from : Andrew Erb |
How're you going to deal with humidity? lot of outside ventilation, different weather, idk your climate, or if it'd even be an issue lol Very interesting! Look forward to seeing more! Comment from : Wimly D |
I would try to put your intakes on the side that is in the shade most of the daycthe air would be a few degrees cooler Comment from : Peter Belisle |
I know you have had it for a little while now but, I love the new intro you have now It is so cool Comment from : Sumo Yoshi |
Look theat you can shut down the Ventilation from the outside You creating a Vakuum Comment from : MD Dragon |
u have to filter the intake!!! Comment from : Yo Its Spud |
plans for humidty and rain possibly being suck in by your wind tunnel? Comment from : The Mining KiiNG |
Well it is no longer a he shed she shed Its finally here :D woohooo Comment from : boinker139 |
I like how your neighbor was sitting there admiring your shed, like "dang thats a nice shed" Comment from : SaladVODS |
We have two barn roof style sheds One is insulated and one isn’t The fiber glass insulation makes a huge difference, but our sheds are not vented so may be less of an issue for you 🤷🏻♂️brbrRun more power and networking than you think you need It’s cheap now If you plan on painting the floor make sure you use floor paint or it will wear right off from walking on it I would probably scrounge around for some used flooring, but I’m super picky lol Comment from : Island Joe |
Heh, your neighbor seemed pretty nosy and concerned with what you're setting up I'm sure you're going to need a lot of sound deadening material since they'll probably be concerned with all the noise it'll be generating and definitely secure it down so it doesn't get knocked down or blown away in a storm or windy day Comment from : O |
Cold air intake should be as low to the ground as possible, don't put it all over the wall and have the exhaust at the top Comment from : SwInY |
Reflective heat barrier is a bad idea You'll trap moisture between it and wood and will rot fast Fiberglass door don't need heat barrier or you'll warp it What you need to do is insulate the shed with rockwool insulation and sheeth it with 1/2" plywood Shed's attic space is trickier, I'd probably reflectix it like a cathedral ceiling stabpling it to the rafters and put wood strips to hold them up securely leaving the air space between reflectix and roof open for heat, moisture and air circulation This way, your shed is insulated so that you can control the unwanted heat or cold during winter Comment from : S Chang |
Go ahead and run extra network cables in case your first one gets damaged It'll be much easier now! Comment from : JediAcolyte |
Vapor Barrier, just in case Comment from : O Rated |
would sound be an issue to your neighbor? cutting holes for exhaust will make it very pronounce especially those server fans Comment from : Alex Ng |
I'm looking forward to watching you build it out Comment from : GirdHerd |
Alot more ventilation Comment from : Coffee Crypto & Construction |
I was thinking about a couple things while you were going through the plan:br1 Comfort and work space when entering Perhaps having the racks slightly towards the exhaust sidebr2 Use wire shelves as cable trays and hang them from the ceiling br3 Run 120 and 240V (maybe that’s a given) Comment from : GR1 |
Have you thought about cutting the intake into the floor and sound insulating the wall facing the neighbors house? Those 2x2s may come in handy after all Would definitely help prevent water ingress as well Comment from : Daniel Campbell |
I'm curious how loud the exhaust fans will sound from the elevated deck Each exhaust fan rated 70db, so 4 of them would be 76db Comment from : SavageBits |
2 cents run 2xcat5 for ha Comment from : en4ble |
Keep an eye on condensation dripping onto your electronics I've seen many false "roof leaks that were due to condensation in attic spaces when warm air (eg from GPU's) interacts with ambient environment Comment from : Edward Wong |
NOICE 🔥 your neighbour was all freaked out! Wandering what are you doing 🤣brI would love to drive that forklift thing Looked SICK! 😅🤘🏼 Comment from : 4EverMetalHead |
Cold air intakes should be placed low as possible while exhaust should be high as possible Comment from : Rift |
THM very nice shed I don’t know if you have termites or carpenter ants in your area But I noticed your shed is built with nontreated wood, so I would pain and sealed them! Also since the shed is raised high you can actually pull cool air from the floor! Just install floor grills and no need to punch holds on your neighbor side of the shed brbrJust one question why did you not have them installed the exhaust fans and or the months? Comment from : Fully Electric |
eve trough to stop water going into vents Comment from : WPG_Dude |
Awesome dude! I feel like I'm standing still with you, and DJ with your new sheds, Chump with his trailer, and Panda in his new location! 🤣brI'm just at my 1st grow tent stage nowCongrats!brCan't wait for all the videos! Comment from : TheTravelersTravels |
Instead of painting the floor, perhaps you should put down some vinyl tile flooring It’ll last longer than paint and clean much easier as well Comment from : Uhl Coin |
Instead of running 3 conduits run one larger that would fill at the appropriate wires through minus the cat5 Cat5 would need to be a separate run Just my thoughts Comment from : MrSkinny602 |
Try to keep some distance between your ethernet and electric cable runs especially if they are running parallel to each other Comment from : Ludwig Iron |
Bruv why so small? Should of got a shed 5 times the size ! Comment from : jlb@dgb |
Wish AC Infinity made window scale fans Comment from : vac59 |
Looks good with the price of wood these days a rack would be cheaper Comment from : Skippy The Meh |
Shed looks awesome! Good call on the radiant barrier roof sheathing (or the uninitiated, it blocks solar radiation from the exterior) That's the first I've seen exterior wall sheathing radiant barrier though it looks like it is just silver paint and not foil Maybe it's an aluminum impregnated paint? brYou'll definitely want some sort of water infiltration mitigation through the intake vents, especially since you're going to have a lot of negative pressure with four high CFM exhaust vents in such a small area You're going to be replacing the full air volume over 20 times per minute, which is crazy Maybe you didn't need the radiant barrier after all LOL!brI'm looking forward to watching this build series! Comment from : MO |
plan sounds good I have 2 of those exhaust fans with 6 of those intake vents I would try to leave room Incase you needed to add 3 more later 9 might not be able to supply the 4 fans it'll be close though brbralso, yeah do something with floor I'd do cheapest tile possible easy to sweep/clean hashraptor did it that way brbrI put a concrete floor in sealed/painted it works wonders brbryou will be sweeping that thing weekly/biweekly Comment from : Depran |
Man I sure hope this works! I'm rooting for ya bud! Comment from : Greg HUFFDOGE Huffman |
Don't paint the floor Use a shop floor epoxybrPs Double check your brand is safe for wood Comment from : Patrick LaBlanc |
Nice nice 🚀 Comment from : Paladdin |
Put your fresh air vents as low as possible to get the natural cold to hot air flow passing through your shed Intakes low and Exhaust high Not sure how much sun you get on the Intake side, Might want to put a vent in between the house shaded area too Comment from : INeedMyCOD |
Love it, definitely want one myself in the future Comment from : Toonex |
awesome to see brother should be a lot of fun for you :) Comment from : Dj Mines |
gutter on the side so water doesn't get sucked in the ventsbrground anchors or fixed so it doesn't blow away (depends on wind in your area) Comment from : Zarkov |
I would remove those 2 by 4's, make it sit flush to prevent sagging in coming years Comment from : Daan |
