Didi Ninaj
There was a mistake when putting in the values in variable view '1' is meant to be 'strongly disagree' but in the video '1' and '5' are both 'strongly agree' Does this error affect the analysis and results?

Your demonstration is clear and straightforward However, your response variable is no longer ordinal (since you use the MEAN_RESPONSE) Would you not consider using the MODE_RESPONSE in this case?
Comment from : Thabo Lephoto

Guangxia Meng
You are the best! Thank you! I am wondering if I have 5 dimensions on my survey and I also had a stand-alone globle satisfaction scale as my DV Do I need to log my global satisfaction scale when using the other five dimensions which were log10? Thanks again
Comment from : Guangxia Meng

Sim J Xin
can the same be done for qualitative data? brFor eg the qualitative question is also under the category of EP brThat means I find the mean with the quantitative and qualitative data

Francesca Waegemans
Thank you for the explaination, however I do have a question When you compute your likert scales that are ordinal variables won't you transform them into intervals? making them not ordinal anymore or should I look at it differenly? Secondly, when I try to do the second part, it tells me that it is not the right analysis for my variables However, this changes when compute the median of the scales, this sadly makes my test of parrallel significant
Comment from : Francesca Waegemans

Dwaipayan Sinha

I'm confused about Likert scales which don't have labels beyond the first point ('least' or 'not at all') and the last point ('most' or 'a great deal') How do I work with such in SPSS in which every point needs to be defined?

surely use of median values is more accurate than mean as its ordinal data therefore cannot gauge how much distance between a strongly and agree is?
