Love these and they apparently love the soil in my area (Southwest Virginia right next to Tennessee) I have two of them in the garden both are about 8 feet across brbrThey produce really well for an heirloom, and the flavor is amazing no matter what size Maybe at some point the flavor might get worse when they get bigger, but I haven’t had one yet and I’ve picked some monsters 18 inch long four inch diameter at the thickest part weighing 4 maybe even 5 pounds (I’ve never weighed one) brbrI definitely recommend these to people but give them at least 6 foot in all directions; because these suckers just go crazy when I get them in the garden

Greetings of the day Any tips on rotting parts? I’ve received a lot of rain causing moisture pressures which caused part of the main steam to almost split open and it having some mini black insects flying around (signs of decay)

If you only have container garden or very limited space try Thompson&Morgan they sell zucchini seed for pots and hanging baskets,also two verities that can be grown in containers and trellis trained,one thing you need to remember these plants are hungry fast growing so give them plenty well rotted farm manure mixed with good compost regular watering but don't keep them saturated in containers it'll rot the roots good luck,good growing😊!

Big yes it's the best courgette apart from the rugosa,why do shops only sell the tasteless plain green ones,we only eat zucchinis when in season that's only home grown,one of the easiest veg to grow apart from tomato's!😊

Growing 2 yellow and 2 green zucchinis this year…the yellow is throwing out so many female flowers and is growing very nicely The green so far has a lot of male flowers

Costata Romanesca are notable because they taste good even when they get large Also, they taste better than other zucchini when sliced and dehydrated

I am so happy to see this amazing variety of zucchini get some love!! This is what we grow and it truly is a winner The flavor is like no other It sweet, nutty, juicy and keeps exceptionally well My husband, who is a junkfood junkie, tried it for the first time a few years ago and actually chose it over junkfood for a snack! Once it is sliced, it will keep in a ziploc bag for 1-2 weeks and be just as fresh It holds up when cooked also It truly is the perfect zucchini

Have you ever had issues with tough, bitter zucchini skins? I grew zucchini last year and by the time the fruits were ready to pick they had very tough and bitter skin on them, making it not the best to eat
