Pico PSUs are meant to take 19 volts If you bypass it's 12 volt output, might be fine

@thegamebadz
Can support secondary 750watts server psu not atx?
Comment from : @thegamebadz

@fwaliany
just a question, if I am running on 120v outlet, I can plug in 900W of server PSU and 300 - 350 W of ATX power supply right How many cards can i run though? lets say each card is 300 W, so that means I can run 3 cards becasue server psu is 900w? is that right?
Comment from : @fwaliany

@lucianisaacs4924

@user-oz9rv3mb3r
but what if we want to shut down that rig ? maybe from Hiveos send a shut down signal so what will happen? will both server PSU and ATX one shut down simultaneously ? will one of them shut down and the other one running and suddenly blow up? please explain this situation my man that would really help us to undestand the shutdown mechanism of this system
Comment from : @user-oz9rv3mb3r

@Trefuckor963
Ya know when u look something up and u think their going to show u the right part and they dont This is that video Like i know all these parts connect together but say for your psu and adapter how do u know if your adapter or psu is upside down I cant put them together if its upside down

@morfbb
With thousands of videos of how to wire up a server psu on a mining rig since this started being popular in 2018 it is amazing to me that there are zero of them showing how anyone decided to mount the unit on the rig so it would be secured Any chance you could show us a mock-up of an actual mounting you tried out?

i bought one few days ago i switched from ATX to these Now not sure why they are freaking hot to touch and the fans are not spinning loudly i do not mind if they spin so fast and loud Not sure why
Comment from : @audiophileuser

@Swifteagle
Is there a way to synchronise both power supplies so when turns on /off the other automatically does the same? ( Like you can with two PC psu)brbrI what would happen if the PC PSU stops and the server PSU continues to power the video cards, could that damage anything? Thanks
Comment from : @Swifteagle

@azzblasterlive6710
Just want to share my recent experience with server PSUs as a warning for anyone considering it I have 3 of these setups from Parrallel Miner with ZSX breakout board One rig had 4 cards and as soon as put a 5th, at boot, the breakout board lit on fire, twice! So that was two breakout boards gone Afterwards, put an ATX to power the the mobo seperatly, added a fifth card and it fried a brand new 3060ti Now powering another new 5th 30060ti card with the ATX psu and its holding but overall the 1200w server PSU seems like it just can't handle more than 4 cards (and these aren't even 3070s or 3080s, definitely gonna stick with ATX going forward, never had fires with those
Comment from : @azzblasterlive6710

@wag-on
Interesting - but what happens if you have a power outage - is power up order important?

Comment from : @HyPex808-2

@TheGodfather101
HOLY SHIT DO NOT USE THOSE BREAK OUT BREAKOUT BOARDS I rmad 4 cards cuz of them Always use bobs that have some kind of sync and fault protection Parallel miner is a safe bet
Comment from : @TheGodfather101

@yusufsahin3278
Will 350 watt ok for motherboard? Just gonna use a low and cpu in it
Comment from : @yusufsahin3278

@MrDatacentiCET
Those are very good power supplies from HP They have 3 distinguishable power supplies, those being the blue, orange and green ones The ones with the blue sticker are rated for 450W, ones with orange label are rated for 750W and the ones with the green label are rated for 1200W These power supplies are very common among a wide range of HP enterprise equipment such as networking equipment (ex: switches) and servers/workstations The 1200W are usually very common among the HP ProLiant DL580 G7 servers (it takes 4 of them!) The other ones are popular in other HP enterprise equipment
Comment from : @MrDatacentiCET

@sawyermade5469
Ohhhh, so this asshole is the reason I can't find a video card in stock 🤣
Comment from : @sawyermade5469

@ishsalvador42
What kind of power cord you are using? Do i need to have atleast 15a 14awg for a cord if im using 1200w psu?
Comment from : @ishsalvador42

@jasongoldenberg973
Do you need to tie the grounds between the two power supplies together? I am curious if one PSU is slightly higher voltage, if that would matter
Comment from : @jasongoldenberg973

@reinstienalbert5095
I've learned a lot from your videos Prior to having the actual parts come in Thanks for all this

Comment from : @michelnunez7088

@mouseblud1149
