Is it okay that my 8 yr old son dosent know how to read yet? Its not a learning disability, it's been life situations He can read some but its like a kindergarten level and he's interested but Somedays I feel like I've messed up with him We r currently homeschooling I have 4 kids twins 5 son 8 amd toddler 1 who always wrecks the plan lol Need a lil advice here Thanks Comment from : @ayshiacunningham5843 |

Hello, I recently found your channel, and you are so inspiring and full of wonderful tips, ideas, and encouragement, so THANK YOU!!! My daughter is almost three years old I purchased the Pre-K Curriculum from the good and the beautiful and plan on officially starting that with her tomorrow I plan on using that as a guide, but already doing so much more outside of a specific curriculum I had never heard of a unit study before you taught me about them and I LOVE the idea so much!! I think I'm going to try the first one on Dinosaurs My question to you is at what age do I need to follow state guidelines and how do I find out what I need to do legally? I found a website that talks about stste standards, but it all looks so overwhelming I don't really know exactly what I'm supposed to do If you have a video on that, please let me know Thanks so much!!! I know all this but have a hard time implementing, the history and science things out there dont work with my children I either find too much writing, notebooking and books They wont work for my kids The dont learn from books They dont remember when I read to them They learn better from seeing Which is hard for the history because there are certain periods of history I cant find any show or movies that they will watch Comment from : @StephanieMT |

Loved these tips! I have a very laid back approach I pick out the curriculums for the year, look them over to get a feel for them, and figure out how many lesson we'll need to get done per week I look ahead periodically to decide if we'll need supplemental materials My biggest struggle has been in finding a daily/weekly routine that actually works for us We've tried many!
