My concern is can you use security deposit of secured discover card i recently applied still not clear if I can use security deposit or do I have keep balance above security deposit and spend it ?

What about the other side of it? What's the purpose of a secured credit agency reporting negatively on you for 7 years if you don't pay the balance without formally closing the account? I mean, its not their money It's your own money How can they report that and why if its your own $ in the first place

Note: on the discover it secured card it doesnt necessarily have to be a $200 deposit, it can be more the amount you deposit will be your limit i did it with $500 and got it all back about 5 months later
